I think nailed on is

Leno
Bellerin - ??? - ??? - AMN
Guendouzi - ???
Micki - Özil - Auba
Laca

Think Chambers will start, and so will either Elneny/Torreira

Torrera and Xhaka in midfield, with Guendouzi to he subbed on later.

I agree with Sims for once. I expect Mustafi-Sokratis but would prefer Chambers over Sokratis.

Will also be interesting to see who has a place on the bench. I'm assuming (counting out Monreal and Ramsey due to injury, though it's possible they're back in time) Lichtsteiner, Xhaka, Torreira/Elneny (whoever doesn't start), Chambers are certainties (if they don't start). Thinking the 3 other spots will go to another defender (Holding or Mavro?), Smith-Rowe and Nketiah, though it's also possible Nelson gets a spot.

Leno
Bellerin - Mustafi - Chambers - Lichsteiner/AMN
Torreira - Guendouzi
Mkhi - Özil - Auba
Laca

Subs: Cech - Sokratis - Xhaka - Lichsteiner/AMN - Nelson - Iwobi - Perez/Welbeck

I'd like to see Leno starting. Didn't look too bad in preseason. Cech looked better than last season. Anyone of them starting would be ok imo.

The defence is the biggest concern. No one looked really convincing. Chambers was my favourite. One of Mustafi or Sokratis can partner him. I'd prefer Mustafi because of his speed which could help against pacy players like Sane, Sterling and Jesus.

I dont know if Lichsteiner had played as a LB before, but I'd trust him to do the job.
Alternatively AMN is an option.

Guendouzi should be starting in the midfield based on preseason. One of Torreira or Xhaka should be his partner. I'd prefer Torreira.
If Ramsey is fit, he could be a good option from the bench.

The front four pick themselves.

Perez is being sold, Welbeck hopefully too. It's Marlo's time.

they look absolutely spectacular. They are giving chelsea footballing lesson. I take a close defeat, but they can easily blow us away with how bad our defense is

I don’t like Miki and Ozil in the same team for big games. Would prefer to have Ramsey instead of Miki for his work rate. Either than or I wouldn’t kind Lich at RB with Bellerin in front of him.

Our backline is too slow and Aguero will have a field day. Need Chambers or Holdin on in place of either Mustafi or Sokratis for this.

The fact that we don't know who our first team CB's are just shows what a bad state of affairs it is.

The club need to give Misinslat more money for a CB and Emery should press him for one, he must know by now he's going to struggle to have any favourite CB's out of this lame bunch.

Also now we have a few CDM / Deep mid types we can now afford to field LMAO as our offensive front 4 so that is a plus.

I feel like i live in different planet. But holding is clearly our worst cb. And chambers is the second weakest

I don't think Holding is as bad as you're making out. I feel like Chambers has a mistake in him though but I get that with Mustafi too. He's gonna have fun getting past our offside trap with our slow backline. I'm not optimistic with our defence.

Remember when Mustafi let Aguero score from a goal kick? That was some of the worst defending I've ever seen.
