Well, they did but we can't use it as an excuse.
The first time we faced a UCL caliber opponent, we went out. That's Arsenal's European history. This decade has been shambolic. And the two legs against Atelti sums up Arsene's career as Arsenal manager.

As much as Wenger is to be blamed here, the board is too. They should never have offered him a deal last summer.
The board allowed him to do whatever he wanted as long as he got CL footy and panicked the moment we were missed out on it. This board has shown that it has no vision or foresight. No club would have persisted with Wenger for so long. They let him overstay his welcome. They let a man, who doesn't know when to quit, go on and on.
I wanted us to win this European trophy. But as we all know, Wenger's time was up a long time ago.
