Poor performance. Over the whole game, not a single player was above a 5/10. At least Aubamayang actually did something in the second half other than his usual anonymous performances.

I was not too pleased with our performance despite the scoreline. We were at home and we didn’t dominate the game as a home team should. We need more high-energy players, more specifically players who love to press the opposition. Even though Xhaka wasn’t too bad today, replace him with someone like Doucoure and we’d be comfortable. Replace Iwobi with a better wide player and we would not have left their half the entire game. We must listen to any offers received for certain players during the summer because I can’t see anything good coming from trying to keep these players.

Other observations:

*Disappointed with Mkhi even though he got a goal and assist. Some of his decision making was poor and because of that he was one of the main reasons we were under so much pressure at the back.
*Aubameyang showed glimpses today of why he can be a good signing for us. Need to keep playing to his strengths like we did today
*Niles was good at right back. Stupid penalty to give away though. Hope he learns from that
*Congrats to Cech for his 200th clean sheet even though he did his best not to get it
*Finally, just wanted to reiterate how much I love Elneny. Really didn’t put a foot wrong today. Why Wenger keeps him on the bench so often, especially given our circumstances, is beyond me.
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

Cech hasn't saved a penalty in a decade and Troy Deeney is that guy.

The feckin state of Troy Deeney's face

His head looks like a cardboard box that's been kicked down an ally
