*Sanchez has not been himself this season for sure and definitely needs to be sold. The problem is Sanchez at 1% is better than all our other options at 100%. Vital he is replaced with someone decent if/when he leaves
Boom.
Kinda farcical that Xhaka is one of the first names on the team sheet. Elneny, for all his limitations, is our most balanced CM. What does he have to do to get a game? Score a hat-trick in the CL Final for Barcelona?
Tactical nous is not Wenger's friend. We have regressed to the same old Arsenal era of shambolic defending during the van Persie/Cesc years.
About Alexis, that's what I have been saying. Save for Ozil and Lacazette, a poorer version of Alexis is still better than everyone else we have. Once he leaves, oh well.
The fundamental issue at Arsenal is something or someone who would find 101 ways to derail us even if we signed Messi. This defeatist culture will remain as long as Wenger is here. Probably for a few more years after he's gone if we don't hire a strong personality/tactically astute coach.
