No Iwobi please. He's in the same category of Welbeck and Walcott for me. Almost useless.

Just drop Bellerin for Debuchy at least. And Xhaka for Wilshere. And Elneny on if Ramsey is injured

Wenger needs to try something different here.

Southampton showed we're going stale with the 3-4-3, game before that was a last minute get out 1-0, so even though we've pulled off a few good performances against big teams with it our players rarely look comfortable using it.

Wilshere is going to start anyway so I think either try .........

4-3-3

or

Lacazette - Giroud up front together, Ozil sitting behind with a 3 man midfield (inc Wilshere) behind him.

I think this could be a time Wenger would give up on 3 in the back.

No Mustafi, Mertesacker being poor. Lack of faith in Holding and Chambers.

I’d like to see Jack start
Raya/Ramsdale
White/Tomiyasu--Saliba/Timber--Gabriel/Kiwior--???/Zinchenko
???/Jorginho
Odegaard/Smith Rowe----Rice/???
Saka/Jesus-------------------Martinelli/Trossard
???/Havertz

NEws:

"Arsenal have adopted a 3-4-2-1 system in recent months.

But the Daily Telegraph say the Gunners may surprisingly change it for tonight’s game with West Ham.

Arsene Wenger is supposedly weighing up whether to go with four at the back.

Aaron Ramsey’s injury has forced his thinking, with Wenger possibly playing a defensive-minded midfielder instead."

Wow is Wenger actually on the same page as the fans for a change? if he's thinking what I am, Jack in midfield means playing a CDM is paramount so Jack doesn't have to pivot and play enforcer and can concentrate on being the offensive CM.

Hope he does go 4 at the back as well, the defence has been at sea playing 3 at the back and a CDM will also help them get into postion while the CDM screens.

If he does though I just wonder who out of Xhaka, Elneny and Coquelin he'll choose to do the role?

According to this, I predict our lineup today to be:

Cech
Bellerin - Koscielny - Monreal - Kolasinac
Xhaka - Coquelin
Welbeck (Wilshere) - Özil - Alexis
Lacazette

Would personally prefer a 4-3-1-2 though.

If Wenger switches formation, I'm sure its going to be Xhaka starting alongside one of the other two. Just as long as it is not Xhaka playing the CDM role, I'll be happy.

Of the three, I trust Elneny the most in that role. Coquelin would be good as well but he needs to remember he's not a b2b midfielder
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)
