Is this the token emphatic home win against a direct rival of the season? 2014 it's was Liverpool, 2015 Utd and last season 3-0 against Chelsea.

Probably, but f**k it, that's their "power shift" and "bigger team" bullshit done

Glad we won. Not to take anything away from our performance but I thought Sp*rs looked a bit flat, at least more than their normal self. Maybe it was just me. Mustafi was surprisingly solid today considering some of his past displays and that he’s coming back from injury. Ozil was sublime and it helps when everyone else is playing well too. More of the same next week please

That's their problem. They've bought in quality, but it's to upgrade an existing 11, not to add to it.

Ie more first teamers to replace the ones that couldn't hack it. They only really have son and sissoko to rotate in that's any danger.

This leaves them playing near enough a first 11 for all competitions and they're starting to look a bit jaded. They've been doing it for seasons now and it's finally starting to catch up earlier in the season.

I think they may struggle over the Christmas period as it gets really congested and they get a few more injuries.

We have the same issue to a lesser extent.

Both of us are light years away from city or man us position where they have 70m players who were top level in their former team but now can't make bench or starting line up all the time.

City are killing it because pep can confidently manage aguero etc without losing quality.

Spurs had to send out a heavily strapped Harry Kane who you could see was struggling to do what he does and it really showed today.

Agreed with Zedie.

City have two world class strikers and two world class CAMs/CMs at the very least. Then you have claims for Sane being the best young player in the Prem and Fernandinho, the best DM. That's not even counting Sterling's claim to glory and a superb Bernardo Silva—who can't get a start.

There's too much talent in there.

In contrast, Spurs' squad is similar to Arsenal's of 07-11. Some world class players there but not much depth.

Meanwhile, we don't have much other than AOL. Sums us up.

I'll definitely give Wenger that one from the press conference.

Journo's asking if our goal was off side, yet if it was it was marginal where as City had a yard off side and no one says anything.

Had to find a way to show how this was the biggest miscarriage in justice against diving hotspurs.

No one said shit when laca was called offside against stoke or city getting away with bollocks v us or even kompany clearly taking out vardy today.

You watch football long enough, you come to realise that people can forgive literally anything if the the club/player is trending and destroy any one that has been cast as the villain.

Look at Suarez. Racism and biting forgotten because he bagged points.

Ferdinand a national treasure even though he blatantly missed a drugs test.

Rooney and Terry still national heroes after destroying peoples lives.

Alonso hailed as one of the best even after killing someone.

Maradona on every show going even though he single handedly built Pablo Escobars dynasty through his nose.

Kane and alli role models even though they dive weekly to turn draws and loses into wins.

Mou a demi God despite trying to blind someone on a football pitch and fire a doctor for trying to treat someone that was apparently injured.

The list is endless.

Alexis only performs when he can be bothered. Ozil is staying (and is better).

Alexis replacement is our only concern, though most people on this forum didn't want Sterling when we were linked, and I think he'd do a better job in our side. So if Raheem is not good enough according to GW experts, then seemingly there's a plethora of potential replacements.

The media have their darlings that's for sure. They hate it when anything diverts from the current narrative they are trying to push.

Shearer on MOTD last night clearly saying that he didn't like us.

The bunch of fat journos on Sunday Supplement this morning blaming the clubs official twitter account for inciting racial, anti-semitic and homophobic comment against a Daily Mail journo who picked the entire Spurs squad in a combined NL 11. The irony.

Interestingly they were also saying how they won't bother writing about how good City are at the moment because it's boring. They will only write about them after they win the Prem. :dontknow:
