We definitely need to sign a good CM, looks like Partey is finished, because mediocre as Elneny, hope we sign Tielemens. We also need another top winger, you can see the bench has no one on the same level as Martinelli and Saka. ESR is not on the same level Martinelli and Saka. Nketiah pace and finishing is good back up to Jesus.

Takeaways......

Saliba is fkin brilliant, May even be better than Gabriel.

Jesus is great but he's finding out how difficult it is to be a CF in out shite formation.

Zinch looked decent.

Good win.

Agree, will say that Zinchenko left a lot of space behind him though, you can get away with that at City with all their possession but you won’t at Arsenal.

I think Jesus will find it hard to score just like every other striker, you’re spot on the formation doesn’t lend itself to strikers scoring goals. Some quality touches though, but lost a bit of confidence as the game went on.

I'm glad we won, but the 2nd half was hugely disappointing. Palace have a weaker team than last year w/o Conor Gallagher and Benteke, yet they managed to get into our box in the 2nd more times than we did theirs. An OG makes it look like a more comfortable win than it was.

Lots of work to be done.

The opening 20 minutes... I thought we finay cracked it. One touch football and just pinging it about and keeping the ball Palace's half... we looked dangerous. I think nerves crept in once we scored. It may just be a mental thing we have to overcome.

If you dont shoot you cant score, Ode needs to sort that out if you have a clear shot take it,
I felt a few players may of thought this would be an easier outing,
Good result. Start we needed

Vieira tweaked the team and switched to 4-5-1 and stopped us getting so much space, they then started to get a foothold and from then one we were 2nd best.

They had 2 chances they should have put away, Odouard and Eze missed two guilt-edged chances.

Neither team actually created much, even in our good spell we didn’t really create clear cut chances.

In the first half Ayew was more interested in harassing our midfielders rather than attacking our left side. I think that's one of the reason.

From what I saw we started and ended well. But for long periods in between we were second best. On another day Xhaka or White could have had a second yellow, we could been on the wrong side of two dodgy penalties for the two handballs in the box, and we could have regretted not putting away that Odegaard and Martinelli chance.

Fortunately the game ended well but we still have work to do all things considered.

Also, happy for Saliba and glad we didn’t lose him when we loaned him out last season
