Speaking of sendings-off, Mbappé picked up a straight red in the 38th minute - https://streamin.me/v/8db12386

Alaba, Bellingham, Modrić, and Vini were rested but the other players who started last week will have to dig deep to protect Real's 1-0 lead.

Edit: Alavés player Sánchez got sent off in the 70th minute so scratch the above. 0-1 FT.

Not Partey ffs. He's going to be a massive loss.

We need to ride out the opening 10-20 minutes, as they have no choice but to attack. We can also score though, and hurt them.
We're 60% through at this point.
But Vini has a point. Due to their history in the competition, they do rise to the occasion and get psychologically fixed from it. However, they can't always ride on that streak and nobody gets their own way all the time. They were lucky to win last season's final, and needed to break Salah's shoulder and benefit from Karius's fuck-ups to beat Liverpool.
Not every year has to be their year in their competition.
No es tus noche, los blancos.

They might win on the night but we'll go through. 2-1 Real Madrid and 4-2 to us on aggregate.

Travelled with the squad and there are pictures of him training. Looks completely fine to me.

Dont need Partey. Just pile bodies in front of goal for 90 mins. Do nothing other than cover every sqr inch of the goal.

The whole season now depends on this game.
If we lose ,this season will be a damp squib.
We have given up the league for this game! And possibly the Cups ( for the league and CL).
Really Disappointing!

I don't see we've "given up" ... just NOT PERFORMED consistently to challenge for those...

that and the weird spate of red cards to start the season and a rash of injured

Couldn't give a crap. League was done anyway. No point wasting energy on it. You're not clawing back a double figure points difference with 8 games left (that's including Everton and Brentford).
