Eddie and co will have plenty of game time in the cup competitions.

Yep.

Let's not forget what the mission is this season.

He's fine. Dropping him after an OG would destroy his confidence.

If he had a stinker of a game after that OG then fair enough. He didn't.

On we go

Agreed. I wouldn’t drop him after the OG.
I think the opposite. Rotate him now whilst we're all worshipping him. If he makes another mistake the twats with agendas will start trying to make a big thing of it. Also need to keep Tomiyasu fresh so them and white really can rotate.

Let's not forget we have 5 subs this season. Tomiyasu can be one of the 5.

As alex said: rest players once the game is won. This should be the game plan at this stage of the season

When the Europa league games come around then we can decide how to rotate players in and out of the team

Not like we're bringing in cedric or holding. Tomiyasu is a like for like in terms of quality.

How is tomiyasu going to keep his match fitness up?

When ESR is fit I'd rotate him with Martinelli and Saka too.

The days of one first XI are long gone. Too many people basing their opinions on football games.

If Saliba plays every game he won't finish the season. This is a game we don't 'need' him.

I like Tomiyasu so I wouldn’t complain if he comes back into the first XI for the next game but we’re on a winning run right now. Best not to tinker with anything if anything ain’t broke

Benching in form players for those that need match fitness and have hardly kicked a ball is a bad idea. We've played two games.

We’re going to be playing our third game in 15 days, so currently, the only plan is to get these key players gelling and winning. Once we are settled, then we can rotate….or if it all goes tits up, we can rotate. Until then, Saliba and co play on.

Saka and Ramsdale were the players with most minutes for us last season and that was just over 3300 minutes.

Saliba should be fine.

Exactly, CB doesn't have to run. 4,700mins+ ,how many of these minutes r just standing or jogging, most minutes on the pitch r just resting for a CB and goal keeper

Obvioulsy some rotation WILL be happening.

As you say.. Willi should not be playing every game. Agreed.

And even the "need" part I can agree with.

For me it's just a "not yet" feeling is all.

PL is first priority. Should play the best/fit 11 available. Plus early wins build confidence. So, on we go w/o changes.

Lots of positivity and praise being directed at the club.

Following any praise we often have a f**k up.

Let's hope we can deliver today.
