Get Tielemans signed up beforehand so they pull him out of the squad.

Then hope Chelsea and Newcastle do the same with Fofana and Maddison.

Schmeichel already one, Barnes, Bertrand and Ricardo out.

Easy win

Same starting 11 as CP game, because the bench just aren't good enough to start.

The only bench players that can still offer something to the team are Nketiah, ESR, Tierney and Tomiyasu. I still think our team is thin and need feel more good signings.

Agreed. The only tweak we can make is how to manage the press so that the players don’t look gassed halfway into the game.

A good idea: Arteta needs to figure out how to take advantage of the 5 sub rule and fast
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

My mood is after another spending window we "should" be in a position where games against teams like Leicester are won.

Obviously there will be the odd slip up on a bad day but Arteta has had enough windows now that his ideas and players should all be in place.

A season or two ago, we feared teams like Leicester based on our crap form, that should no longer be happening.

Teams like - Wolves, Leicester, West Ham, Everton ..... we should expect a tough game, but ultimately to win.

Teams like - Chelsea, Spurs, Utd ......... bare minumum to be ultra competitive and best team on the day wins.

Teams like - Liverpool, City ......... give them hell, try to win if we're having a good day but if overrun, go for the draw.

I don't want to hear any excuses about "No game is a guarantee" we spend more, are a bigger club, have better players ......... if we're not winning its something we're doing wrong, we have all the advantages, go ask City.

Why are Tierney and Tomiyasu not starting?? Are you telling me Ben White is a better RB than Than Tomiyasu?? Are you telling me Zinchenko is a better LB than Tierney???

i hope we expand the 20-30 minute period of dominace vs CP but more importantly not be wasteful in that period. I don't think we are quite good enough/Liecester are not quite weak enough for us to totally dominate. so we must kill the game in those periods........coz Vardy is a constent thorn in our side.

We rushed them back last season and ended up paying for it at the end of the season. We have serviceable players in those positions this season so we can allow them to get to full fitness before chucking them in and potentially getting them injured again.
