They will NEVER be a small club, what madness are you talking ! I will go as far as to say none of the following clubs will ever be small:
Ajax, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Man U. I will include Arsenal too because we have never been relegated and we don't rely on a wealthy benefactor - even though we have never won the European Cup/Champions League.

You said you don't value what AC Milan achieved 2.5 decades ago.

All the honors listed by starman were achieved by Milan less than 25 years ago.

That's a lot of silverware you're trying to sweep under the rug.

Milan are a sleeping giant. Nothing like they use to be.

Between winning the European cup in 1968 and the premier league in 1993 Man Utd were relegated
Won 4 fa cups a cup winners cup and a league cup
Only the sky generation have decided when a big club cease to be a big club
In reality they still were
As were we when we went 18 years between 53 and 71 without winning the league
Before anyone starts leedsing or Nottingham foresting me off
These were 2 clubs who enjoyed brief periods in the sun under managers who galvanised a unit
Since Milan first won the European cup 54 years ago the longest they have gone without winning
Is 7 years 3 times 71 to 78
82 to 89
98 to 2005
In the next 6 years they won 5 consecutive league titles( 1 of them a treble, 1 of them a double) and a further Italian cup
But they ain't been a big club for 25 years?
Right oh

Jimmy saville was putting children on his knee on family tea time entertainment and the black and white minstrels was considered perfectly acceptable viewing when Man Utd were relegated
That joke isn't funny anymore
