One of the last matches of the season, away to Manchester United

Are we going for the title?

No, we're resting players for a Europa League match.

How many times have we won the EL?

How many times did we go for the title in the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s?

This modern-day Arsenal is regular service. Ask Starman.

I prefer us to shoot for the stars, not the gutter

Imagine judging something you love against the worst it's ever been, shrugging and going "meh, whatever"

That's what you're doing

Finger pointing won't suggest that Arsenal are some big time European elite, or even the most successful English club.

Study our history. We've always been run by misers or at least people who cared for finances more than on-field success.

We've been more successful in the last three decades than we have ever been in our history.

Aiming for the stars is a goal. A realistic analysis is exactly that - reality.

Seriously I'm tired of repeating myself on this forum.

Study our history? Do me a favour

Study David Danskin, and his support for the club throughout his life, even after he'd been turned down for a place on the board. Mr Danskin walked away from the club and became "just a fan" despite starting the club!!!

Why? To help it to grow, and achieve. He accepted there were better men to lead the club.

He listened to us win the FA cup for the first time on the radio. From his hospital bed. He was too ill to come to the match. His health had been destroyed by injuries caused by playing football apparently

Shoot for the stars because of our history, not inspite of it.
Corinthians 15:57; But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus

Not as excited as in the past, but it's the hated Man U, and we're playing Alexis too, so to me it's important to win, if not for just some confidence, but also to show any potential managers that we can still play with the big boys.

More times than we have in the 2010s, evidently.

Arsenal were the 2nd most successful club in English football history when Wenger took over.

Yes he took us to a different level but the pedigree was already here.

His last game leading Arsenal against a historic rival. We should try to make sure we at least get our first away point of 2018.

Mourinho will do something to make it all about him.

Probably get down on his knees and ‘bow down’ to Wenger or get his players to form a guard of honour and walk through holding Wenger’s hand. Something like that so that people ask him about that rather than about Wenger specifically.

The only thing we are going to get from this is an ass whooping, I just hope they (manure) don't surpass 8-2

I think we can get a point today a win I doubt very much.
We just need to defend well for a change and if we are switched on I can see us nicking a point, I’m happy Sánchez has not performed for them like he did for us but I am concerned he will turn up today..

Sanchez is their only real threat. Lukaku is a donkey and lingard too. I am not worried at all
