Yes he has. 2 seasons ago his peers were saying he was the best in the Prem and hardest to play against. He just fell very quickly.

Not amongst the best.

He was great during a period, but he has too much of brain-fart moments when it matters.

Of course these things are always debatable, but when some of your competition is calling you the best it's hard to argue. Either way, hard to say he wasn't rated at all.

Agree with the brain fart moments though.

He's at a stage in his career where his body is too f***ked to function at the top consistently.

I think he's always playing with some degree of pain now, which inevitably leads to mistakes or not being able to perform at full potential.

Realistically for a club like us, he should be third choice at this stage with 2 regular top class CBs ahead of him so he steps in for fitness reasons or to cover for injury.

He's another example of Wenger and the board stretching out someone's career for longer than was required rather than stump up the cash and get in top replacements to bed in while he's still available.

A bit like arteta tbf.

We were also dramatic when we were nervy as heck after missing a gazillion chances in the first half last night.

Guess how that turned out.

Oh, drama queen - Arsenal fans.

yeah it turned out in a 1-1 draw against a very good team who at least half would still admit they think are better than us, really it's more like 90% but people will pretend they don't now just to disagree.

And tbh they probably are a better team than us with a better manager but we came out and looked like destroying them even when they had 11. We're still in it and Koscielny is still a good CB.

He's been bad for almost a year now though. Plus, his blunder led to a goal, and so have his other blunders. Elite CB's don't have those type of blunders as often as he has been lately. Maybe he can find that good form again, but the clock is ticking on his playing career.

If not then why are you asking?

No, I’m not.

Anymore stupid questions you’d like to ask? And why are you implying I’m a racist for asking another poster if they’re of a certain nationality?

Honestly you pc leftist cuck snowflakes are going to be the downfall of western civilisation.

Not really.

He's obviously implying Gooney is overrating El Neny and if they are from the same country that might be why.

Someone gets it.

Thank you.

:rofll:

He called me a pc leftist cuck snowflake!! well that's a first.

UFGN should have a word in your ear about our political discussions.

I knew exactly why you were asking and I think it was a stupid thing to suggest, Elneny has been one of our better players recently, DT and co say it on AFTV, are they Egyptian?

As I said you wouldn't ask a Welbeck fan if they were black would you?

Elneny is one of the best players at the club, whether you like it or not.

Elneny is not one of the best players at the club. He just happens to be the only defensive midfielder we have so when he plays our team is more balanced. Same reason Coquelin was rated when he returned from Charlton. Elneny is a good squad player but we need a DM in the summer.

Yep. Also the tie is far from over. Yeah we would have preferred a clean sheet at home or a couple extra goals but at the end of the day if we score first in the away leg then we're favourites
