after the loss over the weekend the chatter was winning EL is the only thing that can save Wenger's job which I laughed at because we been hearing stuff like this for a while. I must admit though this starting lineup does seem like he's desperate to have a good showing
Apparently ....... and this is only media rumor but Gazidis has been having meetings with Kroenke about if Wenger doesn't get CL this year they'll look to get rid.
Gazidis has sold it to Kroenke that two years outside the CL could lead to an unrecoverable slide and obviously Kroneke wants that CL cheque so I wouldn't be surprised if this is true, it would also explain why Wenger actually wants to win this game.
Funny how a bit of pressure from the board makes a manager take winning seriously.
