As an Arsenal fan you should support Laca because we need him to do well in EL.

Suffering from new toy syndrome. Laca can play out wide. So can auba. We should be playing an interchangeable front three.

I was trying to follow his off the ball movement today - difficult on tv - but from what I saw, it was very good. He'll score 20+ goals a season, unlike Lacazette, who I think is about at Girouds level.

Lol what.

Auba second half is same as laca whole season. Isolated and no service.

Baffling football knowledge people have here.

What has isolated and no service got to do with movement off the ball? Yeah, you're right, baffling football knowledge people have here. :dontknow:

Lacas movement is bad.lol what?

We just dont pick his runs. He keeps making them. Watch how many times he shruggs his shoulders in a game coz their isnt a pass.

His movement is bad, been saying it for weeks.

He's pretty static in the box, surrounded by CB's with his back to goal.

All he's been doing is laying off the ball, Giroud could of done that.

We bought Laca to shoot, that's what he's good at, yet all he's doing with his posting up is handing the ball off to runners i.e Iwobi.

PEA on the other hand is all over the front line, the defenders are dragged left right and centre if they try to man him and if they don't he's floating around ready to run right at them .......... facing goal.

Lacazette needs to learn from this, he could be doing the same.

I hope he does because we need two strikers, also some time as CF or WF may do him good so he can see that him facing goal is what's required.

I didn't say Lacazette's movement was bad. You're confused.

Oh god

Not a fan but Iwobi had a decent game bar losing possession once or twice. I'm not sure Laca would've done any better with his current performances and Iwobi playing well keeps players pushing for places in starting XI. Obviously would prefer a fit Laca but happy with Iwobi today.

Loved the Mkhi and PEA interchanges, will allow more space for players like Ramsey, Wilshere and Nacho to get behind. Bellerin needs to sort himself out and get stuck in! Everton were clueless on who they were marking but the Prem is ruthless and teams will figure us out. Luckily we've got a decent set of subs now and players who can switch positions.

Getting rid of pansy players like Ox and Theo and to some extent Giroud has given our team more drive going forward. You could see that we wanted to pass the ball forward with a quicker tempo.

Will Ramsey starting ruin Wilshere's chance at Euros? Can't see Wenger benching Xhaka and playing Ramsey with Wilshere.

If only we had a decent CDM. Xhaka is deadweight and Mustafi is past his expiry date. Ospina also needs a run in the team.

That first half was pure bliss :cloud9:

The competition for starting spots is well and truly on (at least for the offensive positions). I think Iwobi will be up for the challenge and I’m sure he’ll become a better player because of the new signings. Remains to be seen how Lacazette will perform after seeing today’s performance but he needs to, from now on, go into every training session and every match with the purpose of benching Aubameyang, or even Mkhi or Ozil. He needs to keep this mentality not just for his sake but for the sake of our season.

In any case, second half of the season is going to be fun

Aubameyang is world class, but I don't want Welbeck as our 2nd striker. Lacazette please stay.

this, this and this.

wenger is an idiot and keeps iwobi in the team sheet. meanwhile he's wrecking laca & kola's confidence.

happy with the 3 points, but we beat a terrible side.

xhaka can't protect our center backs who need all the help they can get, we need to find a WC dm. until then, AMN needs to be given a run. he can cover ground, is physically strong and much more technical than xhaka. heck may even penetrate with the ball at his feet in lieu of sideways passing.
cheers!

shows the problem isn't and hasn't been Wenger.
The problem was always the quality of our players.

Yes
Them players who just turn up on a match day and play if they feel like it or decide how they are going to set up.
Good job the manager works on an amateur basis isnt it

Agreed.

I'd put Wilshere central and move Mkh out, he can do what he's doing from anywhere.

Also if we could buy a CDM is would be great but until then Elneny could do the role.

been curious on how bielik is doing for the youths.... (CDM)

He has gone on loan to Walsall
