Yeah. We clearly took off our pedal in the second half with an eye on Wednesday

Lol calm down. It's just that I was hoping for a statement after the recent misery. Instead we stopped pushing like we always do in these situations. When's the last time we've really smashed a team?

It's a good result regardless.

Our central midfield is terrible. Players like xhaka and el nenny are way too limited imo. Even today as soon as palace pressured them second half we were sh1t. You will never get anywhere in football without strong central midfield

While I agree that our midfield is terrible, but what you said isn't relevant here.

Elneny was the only CM staying back in the second half. That's how Palace managed to catch us on the counter.

Xhaka and Wilshere were essentially playing as CAMs - even in the second half. You can't simply have one CM protecting a back four. If we had another Elneny beside him, we'd have looked a lot more secure.

Xhaka is a problem. Apart from those longballs, he doesn't seem to have anything working for him.

He scored some fabulous goals today

How is anyone trying to diss the ability of Sanchez?? Idiots ! So we smashed a shit Palace and people think we are better off without Sanchez. People chat some serious shit
Yes he was selfish, yes he overplayed at times, yes his passing was wank at times, but don't forget how many times he saved our arse with a piece of world class action.

was gonna log in at half time to say what a fantastic game it was...shame that second half was utterly AWFUL and again we can't keep a clean sheet.

they came out from half time asleep n never woke up, I was so bored.

Xhaka is trash and el nenny is average. Just because we won doesnt mean we cant discuss the bad part if the performance

Glad to see Elneny starting and glad to see Lacazette get a goal.

Hope Wilshere never gets injured again. He and Ozil were fantastic.

Defenders were superb too.

On to the next one

(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

A welcome and much needed win.

The return of Kos and Monreal seems to have brought some desire back into the side.

Palace were woeful in defence but that won't detract from the performance overall.

Now they need to maintain that level against better opposition.
