Wilshere and El-neny kept the midfield in some order at least.

Finished work later than normal, had plenty of time for a cheeky pint at a leaving do.

Leave nice and early to get home in time for 7.45pm kick off, were 3-1 Up.

How were we? Read that wilock played really well as did Wilshere....

And remember that these unfamiliar thursday nights have stupid kick-off times for no reason whatsoever.

It was good, that we kept on going forward strongly, otherwise lose or tie.
Youngsters didnt produce much, but i bet they had good experience out of this crazy match.
Willock just played, Wilshere was good, but this was Europa level.

And cripps and kite united, saying el-neny was bad.My opinion: He played well..again.

Doesn't look like the game was as tough as I thought it would be. Also looked like Wilshere played well. Happy to know this considering the lack of quality we have in center midfield.

Regarding Walcott: I used to like him but that chance where he decided to run into the Bate defenders instead of passing to an open Wilshere is one of the main reasons why I don't care for him anymore and if he is sold. I don't have time for players who don't understand when and when not to be selfish
Ramsdale

White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)

Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

You don't care for him for one passage of play and ignore where he scored twice and assisted once and his free kick won the penalty?

Bit weird.

I always appreciate when Theo contributes to a goal but sometimes like today I don't always mention it because I'm thinking about the long term impact of players decisions. Walcott being selfish, offside, etc isn't a one time occurrence and happens far too frequently. Against sides like Bate those type of decisions wont punish us much but they definitely will against better sides.

Should we now start Walcott ahead of Lacazette for example just because he scored and assisted a few goals against Bate? we should not ignore all the wrong he did in the game despite the goals and assists is what I'm saying. And, fwiw, I'm not being biased either because I feel the same away about certain other players like Giroud and mertesacker
