Batshuayi looking like a player who's fighting for first team place after a new striker was brought in. Hope Giroud and Welbeck are watching.

I know this is just a friendly but I agree that serious work still needs to be done especially wrt what we do off the ball imo. positioning, decision making, and movement/providing options off the ball was not good enough today and just isn't good enough in general. Needs to be drilled into the players until it becomes second nature

Long tour , playing in the winter then extreme heat within 2 weeks. Jetlagged most likely still, plus stomach bugs plus mix of youth and first teamers.

Meh I won't read much in this one, plastics just started their tour and played their first 11 pretty much.

We'll see how it pans out in the shield. I was actually hoping this would happen as normally it's the reverse and we get tonked later on.

This result will keep them on their toes, I hope

I have stopped analysing ehat i see.
Its just pre season.
Its only the first few games of the season.
The window is closed. Just get behind the team.
We have been unlucky with injuries.
The january window is here and wenger will buy.
Only been 2 weeks in the window..relax
Wenger and his team is wotking hard to buy next few days. Want only top quality.
Window is closed....just get behind the team.
We are unlucky with injuries and ref decisions.
The atmosphere is bringing the team....get behind the team and lets make top 4.
I really think wenger will strengthen next season. Its only june and the window is not even open.
Its just pre season

Next 3 years excuses sorted

I know it's preseason and Lacazette needs time to settle in but Giroud looked fitter and hungrier than Lacazette.

Giroud knows the players and the sydtem as he has been here 5 years. It will take timevfor him and the team. Its a team that has been condition to play with giroud

Not been following the pre season games much but has Wenger reverted back to the 4-2-3-1 formation like todays game.

Why is he not playing a back 3 which was looking promising towards the end of last season.

I think we get our proper pre season after this now.No more bullshit games f***ked up flights???. I think this the last experimental game. No everyone plays games.Next few match line ups will probably be first team and focus on formation etc.

Its teh only way it can go after this.Cause this was as shocker free for all.

Anyone else this new system will mean less possession and control of matches. It seems like we have not good enough defenders so lets pyt an extra body there.
