It's gonna be Belgium and Tunisia man. :(

With Panama finishing third...

ALTHOUGH I'd want England in the QFs at least so that we could witness the grand spectacle of English media dramatizing England's accomplishment of losing in the QF.

Harry Kane is out until May, maybe longer.

Facing a battle now to be fit for the start of this :(

Exactly the reason why England national team is a mockery these days.

This is the same bunch that calls Rooney an all-time English great just because he scored a bunch of goals in friendlies. That's like calling Aguero an all-time great for Argentina.

↑ Batshuayi is expected to be out for 4 to 6 weeks. Martínez has 7 weeks to announce his squad.

If he doesn't suffer any set backs he might just make the squad in time.

Keepers: Hart might be shit but included him for experience, can't have 3 rookie keepers.
Defenders: Cahill included for same reason as above, you need some old heads in the squad. No left backs as I've picked them in midfield.
Midfielders: Young/Delph to be used as LB. Noble included cos I've watched a bit of West Ham lately and he's been good, looks like the most pure CM we have to offer. The rest kinda pick themselves, Lallana offers something different. Just not sure about Wilshere, could trade him out for Lingard/Drinkwater or another defender like Baines/Cresswell.
Strikers: Probably biggest question is no Rashford but think he's had a poor season and Sterling/Vardy can bring similar attribute, Andy Carroll offers something completely different. Welbeck included as he usually plays quite well for England plus can stretch defences.

Much rather be Spain but this squad could make semi with a bit of luck and hard work. More likely fail at QF.

First XI (assuming we go 3-4-3)

Butland

Stones - Maguire - Smalling

Walker------------------------Young

Henderson - Noble

Sterling - Kane - Lallana

Lallana cutting inside doing the creating while Young overlaps and whips them in. 12-0 every game imo.

Keepers: Pickford, Butland, Pope. f**k Joe Hart the useless prick.
Defenders: Walker, Stones, Jones, Rose. Trippier, Tarkowski, Smalling Delph & Young back-ups
Midfielders: Dier, Henderson, Wilsh, Lingard, Dele, Sterling. Sancho wildcard.
Forwards: Kane, Rashford, Welbeck, Vardy.

Pickford
Walker - Stones - Jones - Rose
Dier - Wilshere
Sterling - Dele - Rashford
Kane

Subs: Butland; Tarkowski, Delph; Henderson, Lingard; Welbeck, Vardy

Doesn't really seem like a coherent squad whatsoever tbh
