Dybala and Icardi unlikely to go to the world cup. Argentina manager has to be sacked surely

Argentina are putting all their eggs in the Messi basket really. So much so that boss Jorge Sampaoli is considering not even bringing Paulo Dybala or Mauro Icardi, two of the top five scorers in Serie A, to Russia. Sampaoli, who only took over for the last four qualifiers, is unsure either player can adjust to his system.

Sampaoli says "this is going to be Messi's team"

Time Sampaoli was sacked surely?

Maybe that's their biggest problem? Play more like a team and they might have a chance.

Yup, messi can't win the thing on his own, he needs assistance, messi isn't the same player as when he scored 73 goals in a season, guy needs help, especially at world cup level.

Guessing iccardi is left out because players don't like him, can't be footballing reasons, huge loss, nonetheless not for the first time in his career messi has the squad to win it, would be a big mark against his career if he doesn't

icardi has been rubbish whenever hes played for argentina

sampaoli needs to put faith in aguero rather than leave it to the fat bloke he's most likely gonna play instead
