These sides—Iran, Morocco, and Saudi (against Uruguay)—simply cannot finish.

It's really difficult to feel any sympathy for them as they are so appalling in front of goal.

That's because of the way they play though, Iran's case anyway. The adrenaline rush when they get up there and the excitement is nuts because they've spent 90% of the game defending.

They rush their chances when they come. Morocco are just shit.

Morocco aren't shit. They were the better side in both games (against Iran and Portugal). But they squandered too many chances.

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying, they're the ones you're talking about in your first post. Shit in the final third. Iran are rushing their chances rather than being clear cut shit.

Just Costa, Aspas and shitty Rodrigo (altho he had a decent scoring season).

Gosh, this lot is still winning 1-0. Ugh.

Please, Uruguay or Russia, eliminate these borefests in the next round, please.

Thanks for the reply, I fear if costa gets injured they are f***ked. Spain are good but are guilty of trying to walk it in to the net. Have to be more direct when teams are being more negative/fighting for points .

If Portugal and Spain both play in a scoreless draw against Iran and Morocco, who'd top the group?

In such a case, they'd have the same goal difference, number of goals scored, and the head-to-head would be irrelevant as they both drew against each other.

What settles it in such a situation?

Right now Spain is top because they have less bookings.

So separated by fair play. They'll use that if both results are the same. Iran beat Portugal. They go through. Morocco shock the world and beat Spain with the same result.

Last minute Costa in his quest for a goal goes in hard and gets sent off and cos of that Portugal are apfinish 2nd.

Would be hilarious.

Separated by fair play? Hilarious.

Both Portugal and Spain will win their respective games, so I guess it'll come down to who scores how many goals.
