Group D and H seem the trickiest in terms of set ups.

Really tough to predict which country will end where in Group H.

Group G the worst in terms of traveling and logistics.

We should at least make the last 8 this time and that isnt being over optimistic at all in my eyes.

I'd say Group F is a bit tricky as well but not as much as D and H. If I had to pick the "group of death" I'd go with H; Followed by D and then F. Every team in group H has the potential to advance to the next round and, imo, the gap in quality between each team is not as wide as that of the other groups.

Edit: and you can count me in for the sweepstakes

Nice easy draw against the chocolate makers, hat makers and arabs.

Good draw for England. Should get out of that group but England love to disappoint.
I hope the world cup is 10x better than the Euros.

Count me in the sweepstakes.

Well. That's f***ked.

Argentina not only is in the toughest group, but also has the most difficult set of possible oppositions en route to the final.

Meanwhile, Germany and France have pulled off a Real Madrid. If everything goes fine, their first test comes in the fkin SFs. Brazil's first test would be in QFs. All hypothetical of course.

So now, to win the World Cup, Argentina must get out of the toughest group and possibly beat Spain in the QFs, Germany in the SFs, and France/Brazil in the Final.

Holy shit.

If Messi pulls this off, I hope Argentina keep the World Cup, with FIFA designing a new cup with Messi's face plastered on it.

Meanwhile up North, I have a feeling England won't make it past the group stages. Can see a scoreless draw against Panama and a shock defeat to Tunisia. A brave 1-1 against Belgium to wrap it up.

After the piss easy draw Argentina had 4 years ago they get a comfortable group again. Haven't seen their path to the final. No need. They won't get that far. Higuains fault.

Portugal v Spain and Belgium v England apart, hardly anything to get excited about.

Looking forward to Russia v Saudi Arabia. Can see a shock there. Can we start it now? End this god awful season now

Argentina vs Nigeria is one of the WC "classics" isn't it?

Excuse me, but will there be, if somebody posts a full world cup only thread..?

For me after following football for 30 years this world cup, is an absolute dream come true.
I live in Finland, so from my home, its so close to St.petersburg, that i could walk there.

Will travel with an easy and cheap visa for Finns and with super fast Allegro train with luxury services, ticket maybe 40€, dirt cheap..
Travel time about two hours.Goes easy drinking some nice Russian vodka
I try to follow one or two group games and the other semifinal in St.Petersburg.., semis usually the best games, final always a bit cautious..

This is good option for anyone to travel to Russia, Allegro train begins to travel at Helsinki, Finland.
So all of you Gooners, take this train and via Finland to the amazing Russia and to best matches ever.
