Watching the highlights

Dear god, Sterling has to be sent home

How is he the worst player on the pitch when we just won 6-1 and all Panama players are absolute shit?

Just seen Kanes third

How did that stand?

5-0 up at half time means 2nd half must have been shit

The passing sequence before Kanes third is the longest since a goal from 1966

Argentina dull ass goal v Serbia in 2006 destroyed

Got to say, whilst I expected an England win, thought it'd be a boring 2-0 win as we have seen so many time against shit teams like San Marino, Scotland, Faroes etc

To get that performance and result pleased me a lot more. It's coming home.

Martínez says none of De Bruyne, Vertonghen, Meunier and Lukaku will play.

Even more players, including Hazard, Alderweireld and Carrasco could be rested.

Fair to say Belgium will start with a B team against England.

They're trying to throw the match to finish second imo

We should do the same

Call them out on it

England only created seven chances in open play against Tunisia and Panama and, so far at this World Cup, only one team - South Korea - has managed fewer.

Against the same opposition we have faced, Belgium made 26 chances in open play, which is very impressive. In an ideal world, we would have done the same but, really, it does not matter.

Alan Shearer article on the BBC

This bit stood out. Of course it matters. If you struggle in open play against shit sides, the top teams will be much better at set pieces so we need to do something in open play

Hopefully if we introduce rashford and Alli comes back we will improve offensively.

More worried about our defense tbh, Maguire is inexperienced at this level, stones and walker have mistakes in them

Winner of England - Belgium gets to play Japan instead of Colombia.

A draw also suffices for England to face Japan as England accumulated less yellow cards than Belgium.

^ More importantly, winner of England - Belgium would most likely face Brazil in the QFs.

And Argentina in the SFs. :P

Looks a better game to win, columbia would be harder than japan but it think the bottom half of the draw looks kinder, plus it keeps momentum up

Wouldn't be at all surprised if I saw a humdrum performance from both sides, desperately for that 2nd place spot.+

Colombia > Japan, but after that you're less likely to end up against an elite side in the QF/SF.

Having said that, Croatia and arguably also Spain have looked more impressive than Brazil and France.
