Sims said Sampaoli would win the WC for Argentina.

Ruins.

Another Sims shocker?

Why do we keep listening to him?

I truly believed Xhaka was world class

This is a massive hit to Messi's legacy.

You mean like when Portugal didn't win a single group stage game, then went on to win the Euros and you couldn't stop creaming about it.

They're not getting past France so couldn't care less if they manage to weasel their into the knockout stages.

Tbf Portugal never lost 3-0.

They just drew.

Also, Portugal's squad was/is nowhere near Argentina's in terms of ability.

Argentina's current squad is 3 times worse.

They don't have a single elite player who isn't a forward.

You can only fit in an x amount of forwards or your midfield will get destroyed, as we've seen today.

Portugal have solid/elite goalkeepers, centre backs, full backs, centre mids and wingers.

The only thing Portugal didn't and still don't have is a satisfactory striker.

Good to very good players in all other positions.

Speaking of weaseling to successive victories, France have so far been incredibly mediocre, fortunate and outright insipid themselves.

I do agree the current Argentina squad wouldn't stand much of a chance.

Just seen Portugals Euro 2016 squad

2 players from Southampton ffs. One from Lorient (who?), Dinamo Zagreb, Braga lol

Now looking at the Argentina squad for this tournament. Worst team a player comes from is Torino and they are better than all those mentioned above.

Imagine thinking Torino are worse than River Plate, UANL, Independiente and Hebei China Fortune.

Either that or someone is moving goal posts again by conveniently leaving out the clubs above.

Not that this kind of reasoning holds much water to begin with.

Argentina is so bad—nonexistent midfield and defense.
