Should we continue with this 3-4-3 against City? What do you guys think?

I didn't watch Middlesborough game, how did this 3-4-3 work?

Well we certainly ain't no Chelsea, still looked defensively vulnerable at times going forward not the best either, can tell the squad is still adapting to it and I don't think we had the best player on the pitch for it...

Monreal - Too slow to get up and down the pitch like a normal LWB and nothing amazing going forward we'd be better of with Gibbs/Bellerin/OX down that side.

Gab/Kos/Holding - played fairly well I suppose but Holding/Mustafi need to the middle CB as their passing will be a better asset from that position going forward and relieving pressure from the back like Luiz does for the Chelsea, with Gab/Kos as the wide centre backs their pace can cover for the wingbacks getting caught out or even Holding.

Giroud - Just like every other system he's a liability as usual static, slow, giving away possession etc. I know it's only 1 game but he looked worse in this without a CAM to link with, Ramsey can't be everywhere as a CM and Xhaka is too slow to run up and down. We'd be better of with a mobile CF than can run the channels and interchange especially in this system, in future Sanchez/Welbeck need to play there with Giroud as an impact sub until we buy a new CF.

Anyways that's just my take on it others may not agree and aside from that everyone else was pretty decent or good in the new system.

Back 3 here would be suicide. we are not used to play this formation and even against boro the defense didnt look better. Play a system the players know well

Dont think are squads suited for this formation.

But in all honesty... Dont wanna play the usual 2 midfield 4-2-3-1 we play because we will get decimated.


Ramsey wasn't bad last game ( iknow shocking right) and he should start again.

Ox will need to be ready to track back because this isnt Borough. And giroud should start if we run that formation as it really does require a proper cf to function using it.

Danny or Giroud. Just flip a coin. Putting theo out there for this one is a mistake because he isnt a true cf and the whole point of having wing backs is for that purpose.

Having Kos back is the real reason we didnt concede more than 1 on monday. Have our veteran keeper back in for this one too.. I rather it be cech that makes mistakes than Martinez being fed to the sharks and not have have the composure for a wembley game.
