f**k that.
hear hear bud
how any arsenal fan could wish for us to lose games is beyond me. you would hope that the owners running the club are competent enough to know when a manager's time is up without fans having to tell them.
You're assuming Kroenke and our board are thinking rationally (about the on-field product). Under normal circumstances, I would never want us to lose, but Wenger remaining at this club is not a normal circumstance.
Had we had Abramovich, or anyone with even a little ambition, as owner, Wenger would've been fired after our capitulation in 2010-11, and for good reason. Our board and a majority of our fans have too much patience and too much reverence for the past; they reminisce far too often instead of focusing on what's ahead. Arsenal has rested on its laurels for too long, and now regression is happening because of a reactive, instead of a proactive, culture. Our club culture is atrocious.
That's why Arsenal will never truly be a top club with our current brass. One look at Real and Barca shows we're light-years away from competing at the top. Lucho is stepping down two seasons after winning a treble and one season after a domestic double. Ancelotti was fired the season after achieving La Decima and winning a Copa del Rey, despite finishing in second place two points off the top and being one clean sheet away from a consecutive CL final. Meanwhile, many of our fans talk about the Invincibles as if that team is still relevant ffs. We're not ruthless enough. Winning isn't ingrained enough.
My $0.02 on all this.
