Waiting for motd for the pens and red, Xhaka's looked correct and our pen was blatant. Wrong end for their pen so obv it was a dive but let's see ;)

Xhaka is a f***ing mug though, was about the third time he jumped in ffs, both he and Ramsey had shockers

I didn't think either penalties were good calls. Both were dives/acting.

Coq barely touches guy's leg and he's not even finishing his dive and is looking at the ref before he even hits the ground.

Kos gets grazed in the face and acts like he got shot point blank in the face.

Slow mo replays make them look like pussies.

Should have been 1-0 albeit I missed the foul on Mustafi that some of you were calling for another pen.

3 points and back to praying Chelsea drops points.

Mustafi's was soft as well, and I'm fairly certain that everyone (including myself) is only bringing it up because of how soft theirs was.

Fair enough.

Also my grammar and sentence structure were horrible in that last post.

Pardon me.

Arsene Wenger must pay heavy price for his disgraceful behaviour - a touchline ban will not suffice

For the sake of every official at every level of the game the FA must throw the book at Arsene Wenger after his disgraceful behaviour on Sunday.

They need to send out a strong, clear message - officials are sacrosanct and if you lay hands on them you will pay a heavy price.

A one or two match touchline ban just won’t cut it on this occasion. A slap on the wrist would tell every Sunday morning player that it’s OK to abuse or physically assault officials.

What I would like to see as an absolute minimum is a six-game ban - but a far more severe punishment than simply being banished from the touchline. Instead, I would like to see Wenger barred from any contact with his team once inside the stadium. Uefa regularly impose this sanction and I feel it has far more impact than a manager simply being unable to stand in the technical area.

The reason I say that is a touchline ban often makes very little difference. In that scenario the manager sits up in the stands - often with a better view of the action - and communicates with his bench via mobile phone or messenger. They can go into the dressing room at half time and make the key decisions. Under the Uefa regulations you sit alongside a delegate and can have no contact once the players are off the team coach. You are powerless from that moment on. Managers hate it, but it acts as an effective deterrent.

If the FA do take appropriate action of that nature - and I would like to see an extended touchline ban if the FA do go for that option - then this incident could be good for the game as a whole. The Telegraph reported last week on how 800 referees planned to strike this weekend over the threat of verbal and physical abuse, and it was no surprise to me we had reached such a tipping point. That strike was eventually called off, but decisive action is required and this could be a good start.

The one thing that did surprise me about Sunday's incident was that the Fourth Official he took his frustration out on was Anthony Taylor. Before becoming a referee Anthony worked as a prison warden, so he is adept at taking the heat out of most potential flashpoints! Anthony was also entirely correct in telling Wenger that he was unable to stand at the mouth of the tunnel after being sent-off.

Once a manager has been dismissed they must move either inside the stadium or go up into the directors’ box and Wenger clearly should have done so rather than react in the manner he did.

It should also be pointed out the manager who did have reason to grumble was Sean Dyche, not Wenger. Jonathan Moss got the key decisions correct but his assistant should have spotted Laurent Koscielny was offside in the build-up to the decisive penalty decision.

However, even having a reason to be upset would be no defence for Wenger. He pushed an official and the FA now have a duty to take appropriate action against him.

Hackett's verdict on the big decisions

Xhaka red card

It was a two-footed challenge and a clear red card. Verdict: Correct

Burnley penalty

Coquelin clearly makes contact and it is an obvious foul. Verdict: Correct

Arsenal penalty

Koscielny is fouled but he was offside in the build-up. Verdict: Incorrect

How about the refs start doing their f***ing job properly first, they're affecting a multi-billion pound sport with their incompetence, not even talking about us but City would be potentially back in the race if they got that pen.
