This match will be decided in the first 20 mins......rare we start well against top teams away from home. If I was Guardiola I would tell my team put pressure on them straight away. A draw would be great result here for our top 4 hunt

This, Perez needs to play.

I actually think we have a chance with that line up ........ shame we won't get this line up.

The issue with starting both Walcott and Lucas on the wings is that neither of them contribute much in possession. One of Iwobi or Ox should play on the left. Or you could switch Alexis and Lucas.

Against a Guardiola side you don't need possession. You only need to hit them fast on the counter. Lucas and Theo are capable of that more than Iwobi and Ox.

Everyone agrees that Perez needs to start so Wenger will do the complete opposite and play Giroud so we lose.

Big game tactics and Wenger just don't go

I don't think this is a game where we need to sit back. Their defense is suspect and their midfield is weak without Fernandinho and Gundogan. However, they still have Silva and De Bruyne in attack which means we'll definitely concede chances; add your absence and the fact that we don't keep clean sheets and City scoring becomes a certainty. On the other hand, we could press them high, and the absence of Fernandinho and Gundogan means they won't be able to keep the ball well, and have a go at their defenders.

^ I get your point. Their midfield won't be strong, but Guardiola is stubborn wit his tactics barring which players he has available. He'll play KDB or Silva deeper probably. Maybe Stones will get in their modfield to play the Fernandinho role. He'll try to possess the midfield, like he always does. To outsmart him, one shouldn't fight much for this possession imo, but one should look look for other ways to win. Look at how Real Madrid with Ancelotti destroyed his Bayern in 2014. Xhaka or Özil can distribute long balls once we get the ball back, and Sanchez, Theo and Perez can make the runs. I think it would be much more effective than fighting for dominating the midfield. With Xhaka and Coquelin we have two good tacklers who, who will get the ball for us eventually to counter.

Sometimes i feel you guys live in different world to me. First of all this is an away game. we are half the team in away games. secondly the type of teams man city has struggled to are different to us. This will be pure football match. I dont see us taking on City in a football match despite having no aguero or fernandinho. Look across the two teams and we will start wth the least talented ball players in ox and walcott. They will have the likes of silva and kdb combining and yaya tour behind nolity. They simply will have more talent in midfield/attack combined. This will be a simple win for City. I do believe when we are down 3-0 in the last 20 we will score and wenger will praise how we didnt give up and showed mental strength. Been here so many times. Its not about tactics....its pure ability match and we have the lesser players. There is a reason we are the clear underdog with every bookie despite the players they are missing

As if City can score 3 goals against us without Aguero.

united beat us with rafael and park in midfield....you really are underestimating our team and their inability to deal with tough pressure matches
