If that ball had fallen to Giroud, there would be 11 behind the ball by the time he got to the box

Last season we lost this game, this exact banana skin vs Dinamo Zagreb. Unlike even vs Anderlect where we scoed 2 late goals wherre they messed up and allowed us to win, we dug this result out today!

This team is clearly far more mature than in previous years. Now on to destroying the sp*rs on sunday.

This.

We made a pub team who we beat 6-0 look like challengers.

The only reason we're laughing is because Ozil pulled out a worldie goal in the last 4mins.

If that ball had fallen to Giroud or a lesser mortal what would we be saying then?

In the end its fine, we won, thank god, but moving forward against non pub sides lets please stick to what we've been doing and what's got us top of the league.

of course they aren't a great side by any means, they are like a light version of Shakhtar Donesk really. They have many brazilians with skill and technique in abundance but apart from that they are essentially a pro pub team. We made a lot of changes to the team though and you could see they total lack of any cohesiveness in our attack. We had no right and really shouldn't have got anything from this game, the fact we did shows we do have a lot more maturity which is something and to be positive about.

Finally saw some highlights.

*Looks like had we fully rotated the team, we would not have won today. Thankfully, the little rotation Wenger did do was just enough to get us the three points. However, some of our players were clearly tired by the end of game. Just hope it doesn't carry over to the weekend
*Disappointed with the performances of Jenkinson, Gibbs, Ramsey, Giroud and the like. They still have a lot to work on and it should come to no surprise why they aren't the first name on the team sheet. Hopefully, they use games like today to motivate themselves to work harder
*Oh and Crazy, Crazy goal by Ozil

We also fielded 3 longterm absentees, and completely changed our setup for this game. Of course there was going to be differences in how we play and it's obvious our normal setup has proven better, but if we want to actually do something this season, we're going to have to use the squad and rotate for teams like this where there's less risk in doing so.

What did you want?

Same starting line up as last time so we could all marvel at another 6-0 win and have a knackered team going into the NLD or some key players Rested, a win, joint top PL CL iirc and a good chance of destroying the scums confidence?

We need more skillful full backs and wingers around 15-20M from France, Spain or Germany. See how Perez has done in the 6-0 game. You can find lots of this kind players from Spain.

Giroud slos down the attack. Obviously. I thought they did well to level the score before the half. The streams on reddit were shit today and I missed most of the second half dicking around trying to find one that worked.

Happy they pulled out the win but that lineup isn't going to work against the better sides. Wenger got lucky.

I think Ospina blew it on that first goal. He could have fielded the ball off of the set piece. It was well into the 6 yard area. He just froze.

Second goal wasn't his fault. Gibbs shit the bed and he had no chance to save it.

The ESPN app had the PSG game ending in a draw. Pissed to find out that wasn't the case.

Nope.

If you read my previous posts I simply said I had no problem with the selection but Sanchez should of been rested for Spurs, it looked to me Wenger played Sanchez on the wing simply to cover his own and Giroud's ass.
Would he have ever used Henry or RVP like that ....... nope, he wouldn't dare, Iwobi or Chamberlain should of played LW.
Its almost as if Wenger lined up his best players behind Giroud thinking it would be another master class and make old olie look great just like Sanchez has been doing ...... well it didn't work, Giroud should of been made to play with what Sanchez has to work with, not use Sanchez to prop up Giroud when he should of been rested.

He is supposed to be our No1 ST now is he not?

Nice win.Sanchez should not have played that long.Wondergoal from Ozil.Could be goal of the season in CL.Defense is poor.Kos and Mustafi are making many mistakes at the back.We need to improve.

Dead sure we will lack fluid play on Sunday. Many are tired after this game as whole 90 mins we had to be on our toes. The Kids just wouldnt stop running.

Sunday is a big worry.I would settle for a draw.

Worth remembering that spurs play tonight and will likely also be tired on Sunday
