Martin Atkinson referees like he's been following football for all of 2 years.

He's shit tbh.

Probably hurts Sunderland more by keeping him available.

How many games have we had this season where we were in situations that we wouldve lost the game last season or even drew? Safe to say we have matured and are more hungry this season.

Agreed

Yep. Had he done his job and awarded a clear penalty, we probably would have cruised to the three points from there. But instead he gives a penalty to them minutes later for pretty much the exact same challenge to bring the game to 1,1. Another day and we drop points all because of the ref

I don't get it, Giroud had a really good Euro. Why all the hate still? He hasn't even started yet and this team is playing like an entirely new squad, so why not give him a fair chance?

Told you guys.

Can enjoy the day knowing that we've done our bit. Just hope for some bad results for the others.

Quite a frustrating game up to about 70 minutes. We were doing just enough to get three points and no more and leaving ourselves open to the risk of dropped points. Sunderland scored and then we decided to play with more purpose.
Last 20 minutes was excellent. Alexis should have had a penalty 100%. I can not quite work out why it was not given, so will have to assume the referee was told to do what he could to get Sunderland some kind of result.
Overall an easy game, we almost messed up (with a lot of effort by the ref to help us mess it up).
