I don't if we truly need him but the whole point is how is Sanchez going to become our no1 choice ST if he can't adapt to being in the box when needed, that goes for our whole front 3-4 tbf.

TBH I think they can, and they showed it by the end of the game.

We shouldn't have to revert to certain personnel to execute a switch of tactics, what if like Sunday Giroud is not available?

I'm also saying it did work, we just didn't switch to it early enough, reverting back to Giroud is not the solution, if we tried crossing earlier and the offense couldn't get on the end of the ball, then I'd be calling for Giroud myself.

You want a target man in the box when you bombard it with long passes and crosses from deep against a static bus parked team. If we had units across our team, we could maybe get away without a target man, but hoping on our midgets out jumping/muscling defenders in the final minutes is a poor strategy.

It was literally a miracle that the ball dropped in the perfect place for Theo to nod on, the goal was circumstance more than intention and we were damn lucky to walk away with 3 points. Sanchez didnt win one header iirc against Burnley, to actually keep going on that basis if any one of our 6ft strikers were available would be neglegence.

I get you hate Giroud, but making a case for a team of midgets throwing themselves at PGs wet dreams just isnt realistic. Burnley will probably be the only time that works this season if we are in the same position again imo.

I agree Giroud shouldn't start. However, say, like yesterday, if Giroud was brought on at about 70 minutes and we played two up front, we would have destroyed Burnley in the last 20 imo

We definitely should of had two ST's in the box without doubt against a team happy to sit with their backs to the wall.

Ox was superb scoring twice
Theo was very good with 3 assists
As was coquelin who got 1
Koscielny was good with an assist
As was mertesacker

Good job this super frivolous person has seen us win 18 trophys then

We ground out a result which is always the most important thing, but we're going to have to do better than that this season if we're going to do anything.

You shouldn't need to win ugly in the 93rd against Burnley.

You're right, we shouldn't but it's football. Smaller teams sometimes turn up against the biggest clubs. We aren't the first team to struggle to break a small team down and we won't be the last.

Barca 1-2 newly promoted Alaves.

iwobi has been on the first team for about 5 minutes Theo 12 years! so different expectations and not a fair comparison !

Theo Walcott was not playing in anyone's 1 st team at 15
