I have to admit we're looking good at the moment. We may not have the killer instinct but we look way more dangerous and when one of the goal scorers picks up his form we'll be cruising. There's something different about us for the past 2 games and I like it.

Also, however I may have criticized Theo, I'm glad he's showing some class lately. We were missing a deadly winger badly for the past couple of games.

Not at all, you could tell the lads were in 2nd gear for most of the match as Basel weren't a threat.

2-0 up against a team easily handled? I'm glad they're saving their energy for the real challenges, don't want injuries and burn out because we went all out on lesser teams.

Even though Sanchez didn't score he will if he keeps getting chances like those, the footballing synergy between Ozil, Sanchez and Walcott, even Bellerin and Iwobi is nigh world class if it isn't already.

That could of been 8-0 we won't be so off target every game, the fact that we're creating those clear cut chances from open play is the sign of a top team.

Giroud is history, we cannot play like that with him in the team simple as, not capable, doesn't mesh with the pacey free flowing movement and passing.

Great football from Arsenal, looks like Arsenal of many years ago ....... thank god.

Yeah ......... no Giroud.

Also a Striker which suits our game, I think Perez could do something in that mix as well but if Sanchez hits any sort of goal scoring form then its going to get nasty for other teams.

The chances we're creating from skillful play is a delight, Henry and Bergkamp would be happy with that sort of play.

That's not far off tbf.

Wenger put too much faith in players with ceilings far too low for Arsenal football.

Bellerin, Cazorla, Ozil, Sanchez, Iwobi, Xhaka all have great football instincts, vision and skill.

Then mix in a bit of raw pace and directness like Theo and Coq and we have a dangerous team.

It was the perfect performance for this match

Killed the game after 30 mins, Basel never got into it and we rested up basically for the rest of the game

Our football was so good and finally people can see that Giroud is a massive hindirance up front

Good result. Imagine if we'd signed a top striker though!
Raya/Ramsdale
White/Tomiyasu--Saliba/Timber--Gabriel/Kiwior--???/Zinchenko
???/Jorginho
Odegaard/Smith Rowe----Rice/???
Saka/Jesus-------------------Martinelli/Trossard
???/Havertz

I keep finding myself thinking "auba would have drilled that in" every missed chance.

We have to do everything in our power to get a proper pacey ST through the doors this summer.

Doubt anyone will move in January.
