This game was clearly a freak accident as anything can happen in football. We will recover from this and this loss is obviously a great catalyst that will start our good run of form en-route to our winning the title this May. This is not yet over... The spuds will inevitably have their annual shambolic loss of form making them the perennial forever in our Shadow joke of a club.

It's nice to dream.

I know, just rubbed me the wrong way.

Thought back to the days of Fergie vs Wenger and could never envision one of our players sitting with a Manc in the stands having a chin wag while we lost - even if they were former teammates.

Yeah I wasn't too please to see that to be honest but they have been mates since a very young age because they both grew up at Southampton so I suppose you can understand it.

Shaw and Chambers have a genuine friendship tbh. Nothing wrong in it.

Both came at Southampton. Both shit. Both at fading clubs.

Ironic that we prob would have beaten Utd's '1st' team yesterday - the energy and hunger of the younger players gave them that extra they needed.

Saying that - Arsenal players and management should be ashamed of how they played yesterday. Welbeck was the only one trying the defence was a shambles yet again and Ramsey and Walcott are robbing a living playing football lately.

Gabriel has been found wanting for headed goals time and time again in an Arsenal jersey - shocking stuff.

Embarrassing 90 minutes of football from a team 'challenging'. #bottlers

looking back, I don't blame wenger for this team selection - we were all quite happy when we saw it. I blame the players, I blame wenger for not getting them to play in a half decent way and I blame him for not having bought better players. But on paper, there was nothing wrong with our team. We should've beaten them all day long. Really a big failure.

Wenger's team selection was wrong, and here's why

Against a defence playing midfielders as CB's, you should have started two strikers. No ifs and buts, there is no reason why Welbeck and Giroud shouldn't have started together yesterday. Maybe even against Barca, since they struggle against set pieces.

Wenger is too rigid

That's bullshit. Chelsea would've cut through with 1 striker. So would city. Liverpool, Tottenham, every f***ing team in the league. It's not about a formation, it's about having a decent tactical setup, a gameplan.

It's also about adapting, why not go for the extra edge when you have trouble scoring goals currently? Why not be ruthless?

You can be ruthless with 1 striker too.

Or you could maximise your chances. Nothing against Wenger, but we'll be playing a 4-2-3-1 in the next game and the one after that, and the one after, etc, etc.

Why not change it up? Maybe 5 at the back against teams we have no chance against in Europe?
