You guys have fundamental issue with your owners, not Arsene.
Basically, you (fans) and the club are being treated as moneymaking tool for owners first, competitive club second.

Arsene is only a guy comfortable in that situation.

Welbeck has to play. I'm not saying it because I'm on the hype train, realistically, he is the only striker we have that CAN play the kind of game our striker will have to play.

We need to play a striker that can hold the ball (so no Walcott, Giroud can do this best) but also a striker who can give us something on the break (pace) and preferably be able to score a header as well as that's one of the more realistic ways of scoring imo.

The way I see it, Welbeck on a good day is the only one who can do all 3 things I just described.

The United game is vital and I wouldn't mind having a rested and fired up Giroud for that one as well.

Giroud is the better striker, but Welbeck has the skillset we need against Barcelona. Theo is not smart/good enough to face Barcelona.

Cech
Bellerin Per Koscielny Monreal
Coquelin Ramsey
Özil
Campbell Welbeck Sanchez

We will need to defend as a team. Campbell tracks back more than anyone and is capable of giving the killer pass. Keep Ox, Giroud and Theo as impact subs.

Sounds sensible. I hope Wenger thinks this way but I doubt it.

Everybody will have to work their socks off without the ball - for all his lack off - Campbell does put a shift in.

The Ox is far too sloppy in our final third with his passes that he will actually be a libability.

I can see Wenger trying to squeez in the trio of Flamini / Ramsey / Coquelin and move Ozil to the right.

As Sam pointed out, he puts in a shift. Although Theo does too in big games I simply think he lacks the intelligence to start.

He can get an impact sub last 30 minutes as we will have tired legs all over.

Campbell is by far our smartest winger. I think you underestimate how important that is against a side like Barcelona.

If Cazorla was fit he'd probably shift Ramsey to the right to try and dominate midfield but with the way he has been treating Elneny I don't think he trusts him enough to move Ramsey from central position.

The days where Özil plays on the wing are long gone bro.

The way I see this there are two ways to get a good result tomorrow:

1) We sit back, form a two line defense, let them come at us and try to hit them on a counter (just like the Bayern game). In this case I will go with

Cech
Bellerin Per Koscielny Monreal
Coquelin Ramsey
Özil
Campbell Walcott Sanchez

2)Playing long balls and skip our midfield because we cant take out the ball when we are pressed, and Barca is one of the best teams when in comes to that. In this scenario the best team would be:

Cech
Bellerin Per Koscielny Monreal
Coquelin Ramsey
Özil
Welbeck Giroud Sanchez

With this team we'll be very dangerous on set pieces with Ozil providing the balls and Welbeck,Giroud,Sanchez + Per and Koscielny in the air.

ah, where's the time when we would confidently lay our own game instead of shitting ourselves and playing like a lower league side. Not even talking about our invincible era, going back as far as our previous encounter with barca suffices.
