Giroud had his chance to impress against Burnley. Failed. Start Theo up front:

Cech
Bellerin Mertesacker(c) Koscielny Monreal
Coquelin Ramsey
Campbell --- Ozil --- Alexis
Walcott

Subs: Ospina, Gabriel, Gibbs, Elneny, Chamberlain, Rosicky, Giroud

*Gabriel didn't impress against Burnley either. Don't care who partners Koscielny for this especially considering Coquelin's back
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

What did Theo do to get the place? He hasn't been impressing for a while.

Theo didn't exactly uproot trees today and Giroud wasn't great either.

I want Iwobi on the bench and to get 15+ minutes. Kid has impressed.

Why would we start Mert after what happened the last time we played them?

Agreed but form should dictate who starts. Giroud had over 70 minutes to show something but didn't. Walcott's turn to show us what he's got

Tbh none of our CBs have been good recently. Positions open for anyone to seal a starting spot imo

Kos was terrible in that game and at fault for 3 goals. Mert isn't super human.

Subs: Ospina - Gabriel - Gibbs - Nenny - Rosicky - Ox - Giroud

Really great to have some depth back , we also have Chambers - Flamini - Iwobi - Jeff - Arteta not in the 18 Squad

This

Kos has being shocking lately. Mert has his usual problems when we are playing a high line. Gabriel didn't impress too against Chelsea or today ..
wouldn't mind giving Chambers a chance the next weeks , if the others don't stand up. He has been good lately as DM and RB und he could use the gained confidence of these performances .. imo his best position is a CB
