i dont really see how different it is than last year where Chelsea were dynamite to start, everyone else was dropping pts left and right... and then chelsea stank from Jan on, but everyone else had fallen too far behind for it to matter...

Chelsea were incredible in the first half only losing their first match in December. They started playing poorly in the second half but were also very consistent in grinding out results.
We have done neither.

oh, you mean taking advantage of incredible goalkeeping gaffs...and pens

anyway... i dont think the rest of the league was much better last year than this...

Agreed. Chelsea's only real rival was a Man City about as inconsistent as this one. Chelsea had Champion's luck and a defensive coach. Barring that early part of the season, they were not better than how we are now.

United was maybe a tiny bit less shitty than they are now. Leicester, in the meantime, will take our place as the team that everyone says COULD win the title up until a few matches before the end, but nobody actually believes that they will.

Didn't see the game or highlights.

Still a draw at anfield isn't too bad.

One of the most ignorant games you're likely to see this season.

Some sick goals.

Laughable defending.

90 minutes of intense football.

One of those games you'd watch in full even if you had no stake in either team.

Absolutely

But he's right on the main point though, City lost at Anfield, iirc, and so do most top teams at Anfield. They're up for it, and the crowd is up for it

A draw is a very good result given that, especially since our first goal came from our first attack, the second from laughable goalkeeping and the third was an absolute screamer (So were two of their goals). We were dominated for large portions of the game, and it seems people have short memories here. We probably dominated about 10 minutes in each half, at most. This is the sort of the game that we'd have been destroyed in, by at least 3-4 goals, but we fought back and even took the lead at one point

Xmas schedule and lack of rotation costs us the 3 points we had the intitiative when when we went ahead but then hadnt got the legs to take the game to them. Never seen our back four so deep for an entire game - that pocket of space infront of them was always their to be exploited.

A point is a fair result considering we only had 4 minutes or so to hang on it feels like a defeat but when looked back upon it wont seem so bad.

I felt when Joel Campbell came off we lost some spark. Have to give it to kid - I really am becoming a fan.

A 3-3 was not a abd result by any stretch, to lose it the way we did was. We went too negative, too soon. Campbell should of stayed on, Walcott was so bad last night, love the guy but he brought down those around him. He tackled Ozil more than any Liverpool player.

We can't complain about a draw considering how we started the match, plus we have played a strong starting line up in 6 games now in only 25 days. Against a team that was fully rested from playing Exeter, and who's approach to games is now to press, press, press, a good result.

At face value a draw at Anfield is a good result.

A draw at Anfield when you're leading in the 89th minute is not.

Context.

Especially with City dropping points. Makes it all the more frustrating

Meh, on we go. One of those results that won't mean anything if we win our next few. Remember that we are already top so while winning every game would be ideal, matching or bettering City's results is much more important

No offence dude but your obviously a loser or a teenager making comments like that.
Fortunately for me you cant put successful in the past and relatively wealthy people down like that.
There have been plenty of times I probably would have taken offence to that.

Your welcome and by the way I have probably contributed more to this forum than you, and im an away fan.

A draw at Anfield when you've been behind twice is a good result as well. ;)

In all seriousness, it's always gutting to drop two points so late on but on the balance of things it was about fair. The result also looks much better if we go to Stoke and win at the weekend, although if we lose it'll look terrible.

Of course. Just like how we should have taken advantage of a poor Liverpool defense and ineffective attack. In fact, we have yet to take the advantage once this season despite City giving us several opportunities. Chelsea were ruthless last season.

Yes the league has been much poorer this season which is why it's so frustrating to see that we have yet to find the consistency to put some daylight between us and our rivals.
