Bad result does not necessarily = shit performance but okay will watch.

They scored in both games though right? Instantly makes it better then since they created a chance unlike us tonight.

Did they fight for a single ball in either game? Cos we didn't tonight.

Let's see.

I honestly don't know what to say. Firstly, it's an annoying trend that we can't seem to take advantage of other results and get to the top of the league. It does make me question whether this side really has it. What also worried me most was how we fell for the Southampton tactics. It was clear that they were going to play direct balls to Long into the channels. We had no problem with this early on, when we seemed to be defending deeper, but at 1-0 and after half time our line just got higher and higher. It was suicide really. Why take such risks at 1-0 down? We should have kept it tight and negated that threat. Would Southampton have held on a 1-0, who knows ? But we made it easy for them. I hope confidence isn't too affected for the next game.

Couple of their losses to midtable teams then, obviously doesn't have our scoreline but they were just as flat, can't remember it off hand but I'm sure Yorky can help

Damn check th cores on the phone we got tucked in again at this place again no scznesney. I said our fitnes was shit from previous game the last 20 minutes of game we fell apart. Southampton probably outworked and out hustled us.Probably set up tactically well to cause problems. Not sure what was going on in back to conceed 4. But we were not quality defensively as a team clearly.CIty game is now voided.Looking at the post talking about the subs coming on were f***ing stretched.

Bournmouth run hard so this another tough scraping game. EPL living up to whats advertised. You just cant turn up play slow and think you'll win.Let me Watch MOTD.

Btw against Spurs, City had:

54% of ball
22 shots
9 corners
Spuds made 17 fouls on them

Against Pool:
58% of ball
11 shots
11 corners

Us tonight against Saints:
65% of ball (seriously??)
7 shots
4 corners

So nothing conclusive, other than the fact we did f**k all 65% of the time tonight and were laughable the other 35% of the time, but I don't think the Spurs game City can have been very bad at all. Let's see if Yorky responds :)

that cannie be right, we spent more time chasing shadows, misplacing passes and doing f**k all. i swear it looked like soton had the ball for most of the game.

according to soccerway we had 56% of the ball, sounds more reasonable than above but still weird.

ffs looks like backline forgot about doing the line properly. They also forgot that mertsaker is a slow truck you have to cover his slow ass. They just exposed mert and dragged him out.Not sure why bellerin thinks he does'nt have to cover mertaskaer.Whey does everyone think they dont have to coevr mert. You always have to cover mert.

The rest of the team is fitness dire.Southampton ran wild.

Disgraceful performance. The loss I can live with, particularly in this bizarre season where Leicester are top at Christmas. But the performance was just embarrassing.

All eyes on Bournemouth now. We must bounce back immediately if we are to have a shot at the title.
