Reckon he's just giving them a day break tbh, neither looked injured last game and both are vital as they have no backups atm.

Özil and Ramsey are apparently on the plane so it could be the case

After the intial embarrsement of going out of the C/L in the group stage - I would be quickly excited at the 'realistic' opportunity to win some European Silverware. Our European Silverware Record is abysmal and it would be nice to put that right even if it is the 2nd tier cup.

Agreed. Aside of Dortmund, I don't see any teams in there that could challenge us so we would have a good chance at winning the UEFA Cup for the 2nd time in our history.

Man United and Chelsea.

Expecting a heroic but ultimately futile comeback with the game ending 2-1

There are several teams in the EL which can knock us out .. not even mention the teams coming from the CL group stage

#GoonersWorldExcuses

- We should have had 10+ penalties .. shit ref
- If long term injured player xyz would have been available we would have won easily

Hello? 3-0 earlier this season? I don't think manure are too much of a threat.

The fact that people are questioning if we have a chance in the EL just goes to show how much of a sham our CL campaigns are, either way we have a lot better chance in the EL than CL, on our day we can beat any of the teams in the EL, this however is not the case in the CL especially over 2 legs.
