Theo can't start people... He's not fit enough.

I'd rather save him for City on the 21st

I suspect we'll win, but we'll win 2-1 and get Europa league which we will then win.

1 - Olympiakos are going to kick lumps out of us
2 - the ref is probably going to officiate by home side concensus rather than the rule book, as the home fans are nutters.
3-Olympiakos work exceptionally hard as a unit, they will run their guts out for their fans.

This isnt going to be a Cake walk and it will be a risk to play Theo.

Still, we should be able to beat them comfortably, but then it depends on whether the defence wants to be generous or not..

We don't play Theo we won't win by 2 clear goals so it's a catch 22

Why wouldn't you play Theo?

Big game. He's fit. Our best striker. He needs games to get match fitness preferably before city match.

No reason not to play him.

This will not be easy on a squad with very little rotation in it - it will take a huge effort away to these guys who have a formidable home record.

An early goal is vital to put some nerves into the locals.

Just remember we're guaranteed European football after Christmas.

After the intial embarrsement of going out of the C/L in the group stage - I would be quickly excited at the 'realistic' opportunity to win some European Silverware. Our European Silverware Record is abysmal and it would be nice to put that right even if it is the 2nd tier cup.

Agreed. Aside of Dortmund, I don't see any teams in there that could challenge us so we would have a good chance at winning the UEFA Cup for the 2nd time in our history.

^ & Not Forgetting the Show Case of the Super Cup - Back in the Big Time :arsenal3:

I wouldnt like to meet Liverpool in the later stages either to be honest not under Klopp - but to fear 2 or 3 in the Competition instead of around 10 in the C/L is huge.

I don't agree.
Would absolutely love us to win The UEFA Cup yet I'm certain wenger views it on a par with The League Cup.
We're one of the top Europa League teams but Champions League chumps, cannon fodder.
Wenger would rather lose in the 1st knock out round ( which realistically is all a 0-2 victory tomorrow will guarantee ) than drop into the only European trophy we have a chance of winning & his arrogance pisses me off no end. Our European record is woeful yet it is a source of pride for our manager, proving how consistent we are.... At what?? Last 16 whipping boys??
We are the team everyone wants in the last 16 & jesus we've taken more than our fair share of maulings, more often than not soon as we play any half decent team.

Why would we train on matchday?

Or is that the joke?
