Where did Ramsey play?

How did Theo look?

Centre-mid.

Rusty but lively. Good to have him back.

To be blunt, Ramsey was poor as a CM and still was in the selfish mood to score. If he'd had taken his chances calmly, he'd have probably scored a hat-trick nonetheless.

He looked dangerous in and around the box, which once again strengthens Wenger's decision to put him out wide.

Today was a good showcase for both the good and bad things about Ramsey's game. He was involved, played at a high tempo and was always getting into dangerous positions but he was erratic and made poor decisions a lot of the time.

Hopefully after an extended spell in his preferred position he'll begin to improve and have more of a positive influence.

When you look at united drawing, Tottenham drawing, city loosing and Chelsea loosing this was a big result in light of how poorly we were playing in the last couple of games in the premiership

We just had to end that horrible winless run and get back on the right track. It was a struggle but we got there in the end and that's all the mattered today.

Much better in the centre, not perfect but as a team we had no sanchez, coq, theo, its his first game back in cm, his lacking confidence as he has been out of position and had on and off injuries for a while. You see his confidence grew in the game. His far better for giroud and ozil and his got 90 mins of energy.

As long as he stays fit I expect his performances to get better.

Ramsey made 124 passes today (the most in the team) with 92% pass accuracy and also made 4 key passes (Ozil made 5). Under any other circumstances, a midfielder will be praised for scoring and assisting in a match but this is Ramsey - a player so scrutinized that people even use his goal and assist from the middle as reason why he should be on the wing.

At the very least, Ramsey did produce a fantastic bit of quality for Giroud's goal.

Yeah.

It's amazing how dangerous Ramsey is around the box, yet he seems out of sorts when he's deep.

One thing I didn't like with Ramsey in the middle was that Özil was dropping deep a lot more compared to when Santi was there. Ozil's off the ball running has developed nicely of late but Rambo in the middle made it difficult for him to do so and no-one possesses the ability to find him when he does

it was a shit game for us overall but good to get the win hopefully with theo back we don need to play giroud and he can return to his super sub role no santi and Le coq hurt our midfield
