Definitely evidence we are a better team or should I say treat when we surrender the ball to equal or better opposition. I was laughing at Owen Hargreaves giving out about Arsenal off the ball - the man is clueless.

Question was he auditioning to be a Ambassador for Bayern Munich he didn’t stop licking their holes all night the gobshite.

Still hanging!
Throat is f***ing sore!

Met a bunch of Bayern fans though, and it was easy to console them... "you're still gonna win it". That didn't wash though, a lot of then Guardiola gone!

But anyway, f**k me sideways! What a night! Everyone was in inspirational form! Bellerin was like a man possessed. Coquelin is an absolute boss! Sanchez has the eye of the Tiger! Cech is a machine!

We're only going to get better guys.

Well he did play for them for quite a while and came up through their youth team and speaks german. So not surprising he's going to be biased towards them just like Hansen and Lawrenson are always biased towards Liverpool.

Thought Hargreaves was pretty good.

The thing is, I can see why Bayern got a lot of praise. We get a lot of it too when we bring our crisp passing play in, even if the end product is stopped by a great defence.

It all went to plan, after the first 20-25 minutes where we were pushed back well beyond what I'm sure we planned. In those periods, I can see why anyone would think Bayern was on top

we were backing off way too much at the beginning inviting them on us. We improved that and started pressing more which meant we were able to counter and thats why bayern became scare and why boateng and alaba had to drop off.

Ya I was thinking the same but still as a commentator you should try to be as neutral as possible

WALCOTT - THE KEY TO BEATING BAYERN

Theo Walcott says that “counteracting first pressure” was the key ingredient to Arsenal’s 2-0 victory against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

The Gunners boosted their hopes of progressing to the Champions League knockout stage after goals from Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil secured the win.

Arsène Wenger’s side were on the back foot for long stretches of the game, but Walcott says their ability to spring forward on the break proved decisive.

“It was just one of those days when we had to be patient,” he said. “We knew we were not going to have a lot of the ball and we had to go at them on the counter-attack.

“You can’t just chase them - if you chase the ball you just get passed around and you are going to lose so much energy. There is no need to do that.

“You just have to bide your time. Once they lose the ball they pressure quite quickly. If you can counteract that first pressure you have a chance.

“We were getting at them while we could and dropping back while we had to and obviously the goals came at great stages.

“Everyone did their jobs really well and I have to say Petr in goal was fantastic and made a number of very, very important saves. Everyone worked really hard and deserved it.

“There was a lot of pressure on us, we knew we couldn’t lose but a win was a massive ask. The confidence is just flowing through the team at the moment, you can see that.

“Results show that and if we continue this you never now where it is going to take us - we are looking really strong.”

You can tell the gameplan was executed perfectly. We certainly seemed alert for that initial press as Theo describes it
