At the end of the day Chelsea got their three points. They're the only winners in all this and I don't think they care one bit about Costa's ban.

The only way justice is served is if Chelsea go on to drop points in each of their next three games but they probably won't. The win against us was exactly what they needed and I expect them to go on a good run of form now all thanks to Mike dean who escapes all this unscathed.

Everybody at Arsenal should learn from this but they probably won't

We don't seem to learn. And, the manager is spearheading that mentality. Our players don't seem to grow. They don't seem mature. These big games and the ways we're screwed or find ways to screw up should be amazing learning curves for the players and the manager, yet we repeat the same mistakes over and over again.

Every home game "upset" stems from the same cause. Every time we lose a big game, it's a story we've heard before, witnessed before. Stamford Bridge is out now. The only awkward place we have to go is Old Trafford. That's just one game. Etihad, WHL, Anfield, etc. aren't impossible for us. OT and SB always seem to be the irreversible blockades. We beat United last season at OT. That should be a huge turning point for us. We didn't lose to them in the League. Yes, United are stronger today than they were last season. It's still in us to come out of OT with a point.

What's frustrating for me is the lack of growth, the lack of learning from past experiences. The CL is another perfect example.

Even though Dean was completely useless, Gabriel still did kick out, he could get a one match ban AFAIK.

Arsenal got Gabriel's red card overturned after finding some TV footage which proved he made no contact with Costa whatsoever. (Mirror)

Yh well you could see that in broad daylight, you can still get a red for the action but oh well at least we got him back. Rather have the 3 points though obviously.....

So to all the people saying it was Gabriel's fault for responding and he deserved to be sent off, I'm guessing you guys now take back your words?

I said that myself, I didn't see Gabriel kick out, just saw Costa standing behind him and them getting a bit to close, at worse Gabriel stepped back onto Costa's feet, literally stepped back not a stamp.

Glad common sense has prevailed even if it did cost us the damn game.

He might still be charged though. Only the three match ban for the red card was overturned.

Besides, we still lost because he placed himself in that position in the first place.

No. In the gif that Alexis17 is showing its obviously clear that he is trying to 'kick' him, which is still a very idiotic thing to di right under the ref's nose. Whether he actually hit him or not is not really relevant.
Rest in Peace SE13 :(

If he had even brushed Costa's sock he would have been rolling on the ground.

Yeah, a few in the match thread saying they saw Gabriel kick him.

I still expect Gabriel to get a 1 match ban, unsure what stage the process is at.
