Better than f**k all being on between CL final and olympics/prem.

Pretty sure all the haters just have ridiculous expectations.

"This Euros is shit. All the highlights I watched from 12/24/32 years ago were so much better. Why aren't there amazing goals and solo runs in every game. All the teams are so defensive blah blah blah."

It's international football. If you expected anything else you were being stupid. There were still great moments that will be in the highlights packages for years to come (Shaqiri, Naingolan, Payet to name a few) but the tournament wasn't shit because some teams parked the bus or Germany didn't have any decent strikers. There was good football in that tournament if you wanted to watch it.

Spot on. I've seen some truly terrible tournaments in my time. The first World Cup for example was awful. I'd rather the war had started earlier so we didn't have to watch that crap.

But for you Johnny come latelys, 94 and 2002 were shocking. 2010 had the worst world champions of all time. Playing shit football and 1-0 wins all the way. Euro 2004 was very poor when you consider England were arguably the most entertaining side. Along with the Czechs.

This tournament whilst not the best was ok. Rarely felt bored in any of the matches I watched which was most.

Well it's here to stay at least for another euros.

Next euros will be shit though. Taking place all over Europe instead of one country.

Euros 2008 was the last good Euros imo. Especially that group of Holland, France, Italy and Romania. This particular Euros has been a snoozefest with very little goals. The highlights were Iceland, Wales and Portugal Lord Eder winning it.

Euro 2000 just over 2008 cos the final was better.

Had 2008 final not been a bore fest then it might have been better.

I agree.

I feel a lot of teams took it easy in the group stages especially the bigger nations.

I don't enjoy international tournaments as much as I used to. Prefer Premier League or UCL over international events.

I enjoyed WC 2014 because Argentina made it to the final. 2010 was a bore. 2006 was entertaining. Probs haven't enjoyed a World Cup thoroughly since 1998.

Same for the Euros. 2000 is the one I enjoyed most. Since then, meh.

am happy for portugal fans that they WON.

but they get negative marks for style/creative football points.

Ronaldo as passenger in a final. same as it ever was.
