3 out of 4 remaining teams have at least 1 Arsenal player in their squad. :dance:

Anyone but Portugal, they don't deserve the trophy

So far they are worse than the other 3 or Italy or even Iceland. That doesn't matter though. If they win the next two then it's deserved.

When Löw dropped Götze for Gomez Germany finally had a proper outlet leading the line up front and started playing better.

Now they're reduced to zero natural strikers it'll be interesting to see how they'll cope with it. Either a new chance for Götze or they go with Müller with Özil in a central role.

Problem with all that reshuffling is that they lose a lot of legs and work rate without Khedira and Müller centrally, meaning Götze would be the most plausible scenario.

At least three of the semifinalists have no proper strikers.

Assuming by proper you mean natural/by trade;

Wales: Vokes/Robson-Kanu (1 of these usually starts)
France: Giroud/Griezmann (+ Gignac, Martial)
Portugal: Eder (sub)
Germany: Gomez (injured)

so argentina "deserved" to win '86 despite the hand of god BS, cos they won the final?
the logic is similar.
