Cutting it this close against a weak Utd playing shit football.....in some ways, it's worse than actually coming 4th again.

We are barely doing any better, after 2 seasons of what by our standards, is pretty heavy spending.

Games where teams want to park the bus (most of them) we should start 442 from the off.

Welbeck/Walcott with Giroud uptop, Ozil and Alexis on the wings.

as long as we have Giroud as a striker we should play 4-4-2 he is not quick enough to play as a sole striker

Mate, don't even try that. If you want an absolute emotional breakdown by Arsenal fans then play Ozil (the best No10) in the world on the wings. Just leave him in his best position where he keeps opening up all these park the bus stubborn defenses with his range of passes that only him can pull off..

You can do anything you like with the team as long as Ozil starts in his best position. Gooners have fought so hard all season for Ozil to play in his best position, don't mess it up..

Sanchez is looking more and more like a slightly better Walcott. Just runs about, absolutely poor passing, poor link up, so predictable as he keeps trying to cut in and have Hollywood shots from the edge of the area.. I am really getting frustrated and disappointed by the way he has turned himself into a one dimensional one trick pony. When was the last time he took on a full back and cut back or crossed the ball? All he is playing as an individual and not a team player.

Needs to work on his passing, link up, needs to stop killing off our counter attacks by dwelling in the ball and losing it, stop cutting in time and time again, all defenders have worked him out. He needs to become a team player rather than an individual..

It is possible for teams to rely on full backs for width. Barca have done it and even Bayern, Liverpool are a bad example but they also try this. I think (especially with Gibbs and Bellerin) it is important to use the full backs for width when our best players want to play centrally. If we play with two wingers rather than two wide attacking midfielders we will have to axe one of Ramsey/Ozil/Cazorla, 3 of our best players.

The only proven winner in red and white at this club? Arsene Wenger. Sack the board.

That is the point, someone has to be dropped.

We cannot extract the best from these players by cramming them all in and playing some out of position, e.g., Ramsey on the wing.

Midfielders in midfield, wingers on the wing. It's hardly a revolutionary concept.

yes we can axe ramsey or cazorla based on who is in form and who is the opponent. plus sanchez is a winger but he always cuts inside so unless we have a proper winger on the right we are essentially playing without one at all.

another point - we are not barca
another point - barca had wingers in pedro, tello, sanchez (to same extent we have him), even villa.
another point - barca have messi to make the difference

i hate when people compare us to barca, we are an absolutely horrendous version of what they were back in 2008/9/10. discrediting them to compare our play to that, ours is slow and languid their's was sharp and incisive.

Can anyone give me a scenrio where Flamini would play yesterday with the exception of 3 injuries to CM's? With Coquelin benched for Wilshere; Flamini just took up a bench spot for nothing it baffled me.

Good thing that Utd, Pool, and the Yids are just as shitty as us. Everyone else made it easy for Chelsea this season.

I think long-term it has to be two of Ozil/ Cazorla/ Ramsey as the three of them seem to get in each other's way.

One DM, two creative midfielders, two wingers and a striker. Simple.
