If that was anyone else, the ref would have been surrounded and getting intimidated straight away.

All other teams beg and continue begging for pens.

Really happy to see Jack come back so strongly. I think he hangs on to the ball too long sometimes, but apart from Sanchez, he's the only player who likes to get the ball at his feet and trouble defences by dribbling at them with pace. We need that to help mix up our game.

Giroud was not very good today, that is true.
Wilshere looked good, but as usual, it didnt come to goals- either for him or an assist- which is concerning for me.

On another note it seems patently obvious that Giroud and Wilshere combine very well together.
The timbre of game changed drastically....

You blame Wilshere for not bagging a goal or assist in his first 25 minutes back from a long-term injury, when he can a shot hand-balled off the line?

Bit harsh mate, but I agree, his end product does have to improve in the long term.

maybe that came off badly. no blame. he looked very good. was just tryin' to GENTLY add in that Arsenal needs for him to be generating goals and that the HISTORY of that not happening is the concern. i am encouraged by his performance and hope that he changes my mind, cos AS IT IS NOW, I think he's a bit overrated. may those who have faith in him be in the right! :1970_two_smileys_drinking_beer_together.gif:

if we ever get a quick striker that's on the same wavelength as Ozil, Alexis & Ramsey we're going to be challenging on all fronts.

giroud's flicks are nice when they come off, but when they don't, the looks of disappointment on the players faces :BangHead:

he made a good run that opened up the space for ramsey's goal, but other than that, he was pretty invisible today.
lost seemingly every aerial duel with mcshane for f**k's sake.

World class without a doubt.

I honestly don't think I'm being hyperbolic when I say that the only player I can think of with better close control is Messi. Cazorla consistently amazes me with some of the things he pulls off.

If Hull lead 1-0, do you expect it'd have been the same?
