I think the fact it's against Villa might slightly increase my chance of getting a ticket for the match so I'm pleased that it's them and not 'Pool.

(Because my best chance of a ticket is through a Liverpool fan)

This should be fairly straightforward. If we turn up and play our game, we'll repeat. If we overestimate Villa and get cocky, we're gonna be in for a longggggg day.

Slightly perturbed at the thought of Bentenke vs Mertesacker - he could manhandle him with his pace and power.

Koscielny will have to put the shackles on him.

Don't know what you're talking about, bruh. Don't know how it will be Benteke vs. Mertesacker when Mert will be watching Gabriel from the bench. :sneaky2:

If we win this, we'll go top with most FA Cup wins in history - 12 wins - and Arsene Wenger will hold the record for most FA Cup wins, 6, alongside George Ramsay, who incidentally won it 6 times with Villa.

The stakes are high, folks.

With Mertesacker's injury reported as being quite serious, I can't see him starting the final so long as Gabriel as no major mistakes along the way. Surely Gabriel should be playing in the cup anyway? We made a host of changes such as Welbeck, Debuchy etc would of thought he'd got a start at the weekend.

Arsenal v Aston Villa has the ring of a proper FA Cup final ding-dong. Two fine teams with long history and tradition in the competition. I can't wait!

I got bad feelings about this, Sherwood seems like his got something as a manager I can see this being the making of him

Except you forget one thing:

Agent Tim will ensure we win and become the best FA Cup side in the country.

Celebrated Benteke's goal yesterday as if it was one of our own. Come on!!

It's been made a lot easier but we all (including Wenger) will remember Birmingham so hopefully we can remain calm.
Follow me on twitter @JordanLovesey!

The only proven winner in red and white at this club? Arsene Wenger. Sack the board.

Treat the opposition and occassion with respect, right attidude and high technical tempo and we should win.

I think its a good thing that Villa are 99% safe in the League as that will now lead them into May strolling through games trying not to get injured for the final - while we will be putting a shift in until the end securing the highest possible posistion in the Top 4. You just cant turn your tempo and style on and off like a tap and Villa will suffer as a consequence I feel.
