Goal wasn't Scez's fault. He had an average game. Still punches away shots hit straight at him instead of catching them. Risky if opposing players can catch the rebound.

Reading played well and were unlucky to concede at the end. It annoys me that we needed a full strength team to beat them.

Hopefully Alexis is on track for 25 goals this season.

So last year's Golden Glove winner isn't good enough? Yes he made a mistake today but every keeper does at some point in their career. He's still young.

He's a year older than De Gea.

Two years older than Ter Stegen and Coutouis

He's young but he's not improving and there are others who have made better progress than him who are younger. he's only two years younger than Ospina who is a far better keeper.

Too much a confidence keeper for me.

The shot Szczesny punched out was moving all over the place. He did the safe thing and most importantly he kept it out and out of danger

A player going through a poor patch of form really doesnt wipe out everything they've done in the past.

Dat logic.

Christ in hell that was dreadful. We played like it was a pre-season game - no intensity at all. Allowed Reading to lull us to sleep with their containment, played the game at their tempo.

Wasn't happy with Gibbs coming in for Monreal, we're much more resolute with Nacho at the back; also wanted Bellerin to play but we went for experience which is understandable.

Don't know why Rosicky is getting shafted every game, not even on the bench but Wilshere waltzes back in as a sub after missing half the season...ok.

This Ramsey on the right bullshit needs to stop.

Szczesny dodgy on the goal.

Cazorla AWOL.

Thought Giroud was our best player when he came on, don't understand why we drop him in the biggest match of our season (Welbeck had a 'mare by the way).

At 1-1 I was shitting it knowing if we lose we basically hand the Cup to Liverpool on Gerrard's final appearance; we struck a blow for all of mankind with the victory - it is up to us to stop the Liverpool/Gerrard media orgy that will ensue should they win the Cup (assuming they get past Tiny Tim's mighty Villa, that is).

Cazorla needs a rest. He hasn't been himself for a few games now. He's still doing okay, but nowhere near the level he was displaying a couple of months ago, imo.

It wasn't convincing but job done. Let's hope Villa beat Liverpool. I couldn't bear a whole month of Gerrard farewell build-up.
There's David O'Leary and big Willie Young, sending Rixy and Stapleton off on a run

Courtesy of RAWK -

Nothing has or will change my mind..Stevie G will lift the FA Cup at Wembley on his birthday. He'll go out on a high cos he deserves to, and it'll be a perfect response to most other fans taking the piss this season.

Reckon Gerrard would rather beat Arsenal in the Final, rather than plucky underdogs and every neutrals fav Reading.

I reckon that's exactly what'll happen.

This is why we have to castrate Liverpool in the final (should they make it).

Gerrard "deserves" to win and given the choice would probably rather face us than Reading. Yeah, sure...

The stars aligned for their CL victory and for their FA Cup win over West Ham, it isn't going to happen again for a long time.

WE were very lucky the Gods were smiling on us in that game as we were fooking dire, we went missing for most of the game and Redding owned us they were very unlucky not to win. Still a win is a win but not pleased with the way we won it.

Luckily for us, we came out on top.

Szczesny's was nowhere near as bad.

The different is that Szczesny plays for one of best clubs in the world - Federici doesn't.

Not giving recently returned player match fitness or playing a forward you know isnt as good.

Rotation is great when games come thick and fast, or naturally during the course of a season.
But when you only have one thing to play for, and the game in front of you is more significant than any other game you have up comming, you field your best.

This.

Savable yes, but not an error or mistake.

It was a blunder only salvaged by an even bigger one.

I thought Debuchy was very good, until he tired, which was only natural. So good to have a nice big squad again. I know the game was tight and uncomfortable, but players like Gibbs and Welbeck deserved a start. They are experienced PL players and full internationals, it's not like we played "the kids".
