They are quite different players. I think Sturridge would be awesome in our team with Giroud's hold up/link up play alongside him, and passes from the likes of Ozil. Disclaimer : I rate Sturridge highly.

Good finshing is something which is a must for anybody playing up front. Having pace alone is not sufficient. Sturridge has three attributes which make him a perfect fit in addition to his pace instinct/movement/finishing.
