Think winning away is most important. Convincing wins would be good bonus though.

just back from the game. Dreadful 5 hour drive round trip, but good atmosphere in the away stand. Newcastle fans were so gloomy for most of the game.
Game itself was alright, good first half. Shit second, though game should have been buried in the first half. Lost count of the number times wele kept f***ing up when 1 on 1 with keeper, but 3 points all that matters at this stage.

So playing 4 games in the space of two weeks (3 of those away) after 3/4 of the season gone - doesnt have an effect on your performance or legs - please go do one if this isnt the main factor that should be discussed in regard to the game of two halfs.

Lets not discuss the fact that after they scored the team dug in and defended to the last man. Outside the box we could have been a lot better but that brings you back to the fatigue factor ... but inside the box we defended well gave them no clear cut chances and won everything in the air and this should be celebrated as previous Arsenal teams not so long ago would have lost that game. Even so a better cut back from Bellerin and we would have drawn the second half 1-1.

3 Away wins 6 goals scored 2 conceeded - not a bad record. Their is more then one way to win games and dominating and destroying teams is only one way. I personally enjoy winning any which way I rather the forementioned way but hey a win is a win.

Wenger Haters will hate and its stopping some of you enjoying some very healthy enjoyable results.

We've won a lot of ugly games this season, more so than normal it seems, and I'm not sure what that means about us really. :dontknow: :confused2:

It's the same as last season when we won all those 2-0 matches (I think there were around 10?) except now we're conceding cheaply and making it a scrappy 2-1 win.

Defences usually have on and off seasons. Last season we had a good one (with the exception of those 4 away matches) and this season less so. If Debuchy comes back well, Monreal keeps his form and Kos/Gabriel form a good partnership then our defence could be very strong next season. We'll also have good backups in Bellerin, Gibbs, Merts (I don't see him improving given his age, will probably get passed by Gabriel soon) and either Jenks, Chambers or hopefully a new 4th choice with Chambers on loan.

I can't quite figure out why everyone (regardless of the WOB/WKB preferences) is not happy with the result at Newcastle. End of!

It's not so long ago that we were 4-0 up there and didn't win.

We won. Got 3 points away from home.

We won ugly. Better again.

We have a steady keeper in Ospina who is also feeding calmness into the keystone cops in front of him and helping them to become better defenders.

Regardless of the fact that Ozil wasn't playing (and i'm laughing at people saying that we'd have been SO much better if he'd played!) we still won.

Jaysus, with Liverpool up next the 3 points were really important.

Big game time Vs Pool awaits. May also be the cup final warmup.

Well done to the team and to Wenger for getting it right at Newcastle.

We have displayed the best form in the league in the last ten games. Nine wins out of ten. No matter how you cut it this is title winning form but as usual we leave it a bit too late to make sh*t happen. Last year it was the opposite. Great start and league leaders on new year yet we go on to make a meal of it.

thats because we play good an entire calendar year, then we suck the next one. we were the best team of 2013, but then we were only the 4th best team of 2014 and 2012.

now, we're 1st team of the 2015 again so far and can bet that we are going to have an amazing start of the next season, but can we keep it up in the 2016?
PL table of 2015:
1. Arsenal | 11gp | 9W 0D 2L = 27pts
2. Liverpool | 11gp| 8W 2D 1L = 26pts
3. Man Utd | 11gp | 7W 2D 2L = 23pts
4. Chelsea | 10gp | 6W 3D 1L = 21pt
5. Man City | 11gp | 5W 3D 3L = 18pts

It's amazing how good our form is when most of our players are healthy and we consistently field a similar squad each week.

Bit strange that.

Who'd have thought that massive injuries to the squad would have such an impact on a teams form?

Nothing to do with us completely ignoring 2 key areas in the transfer window, of course. Our change in form had nothing to do with the introduction of the universally-accepted necessity of a defensive midfielder... It was all about injuries.

So Coquelin would have completely masked up not having:

Koscielny
Giroud
Ozil
Ramsey
Wilshere
Debuchy

etc?
